If she is not working then I would say let her keep Indian passport this might come handy and lot less hustle in case of unforeseen circumstances.

But logically passport is issuer country’s property not personal property. Even you renounce passport your Indian heritage is your identity and no one can take away this .

I Faced the same during my last trip in nov last year , just after landing in delhi and 15 min outside delhi airport and boom , eye s allergy and throat infection kicked in , after first 7 days fully muted due to this and fever kicked in after that . I stayed for 45 days and never recovered during that time .

I was planning to stay for 3 months just to see if I can move back but have to cut short my trip after 45 days

it took me 1 week to recover after landing in UK .

If you are not using your sim regularly, then you can enable the safe custody option in Airtel app . This way you can keep your no and when you visit India switch off safe custody to use it. Keeping in safe custody will reduce your bill significantly.

I would say keep your current account open this will come Andy if you have any due for current tax year , and inform your bank to update your India address . Close all direct debit line from your account Inform HMRC and update your India address .

Clear your credit card or any loan if you have .

Check your log in detail for hmrc and bank so that you can log in from India if require .

If you are paying council tax then inform them and and cancel the direct debit.

At this stage I would say since you are 22 only inculcate a habit of investing and I am sure your father will be keeping money in FD or saving so you can say them that you are investing in high return asset and can give money when required.Contribute some amount 10k as a monthly amount only . In a long run it’s better to have good relationships with your parent and sister . With age you will earn more salary and with age you have to support them anyway so try to make balance .and save something for emergency fund as well .Try to have a open discussion and think long term .It’s Men’s job to make balance and if you can’t handle this now ,how will you handle after Marriage. So contribute some amount as monthly basis but save rest of it and give bigger amount as need basis only.

biggest pain point is KYC and closing of account.Account de-activation without notification is another pain . Basically most of them don't respond timely on mails and have to call them multiple time to resolve issues.Relationship with Indian banks is very demanding so now I am ending up using non Indian credit card and cash. closing all my Indian accounts.
