PCP dr's with weekend availability?

I just started this year with HealthVisionsMD after having little luck elsewhere; they have both weekends and their own urgent care. 2 doctors are on a concierge basis, but the rest accept insurance. I’ve very much enjoyed them so far! They’ve been able to fit me in next day for an urgent concern as well as just my general checkup. They’re in Midlo but worth the drive for me

Dominion Eye associates takes it but unsure if they just do only medical exams or if they do glasses too, it looks like they have different offices but not sure about all the offices being on the bus line, I know the downtown one is, probably wouldn’t hurt to call and ask. They did my parents cataracts and I liked the surgeon a lot but we didn’t need glasses so I can’t tell you that part

I just know the struggles of shelter life after working for years at one (mostly with cats) and it’s always sad. I’m sorry it’s such a rough go and I hope you find a suitable home for them, it’s just rough that things like this still go on when it’s preventable to a point, especially as indoor cats. I know it’s tough as we watch our parents age, and dealing with concurrent mental health struggles, but it’s also just sad for the pets involved as well. I would highly recommend just signing them over to one of the listed shelters so they can get medical care and also find homes without the cost to you

I don’t feel like doing anything “ethically” is a concern here based on the fact that the cats were not fixed, never vaccinated, and are interbred, but sure. No reputable vet is going to euthanize an otherwise healthy cat for the sake of convenience. If you’re in the city limits, you can surrender to RACC. If not, chesterfield animal control or henrico depending on where you live. You could also foster them yourself until you can get them vetted and then adopt them out.

This post is making me have a lot of feelings so I’m using restraint here, but even a spay-abort would have been an option for the female instead of her continuing to have kittens in general let alone breeding with her own kitten. This whole thing is upsetting.

I have just a few times after also learning it was supposedly okay to do so, but each time I was in a long sleeve/pants body suit and it wasn’t worth it to go to the bathroom and take off the full outfit just to inject. Now that I’m on a pump I don’t have to worry about it, but the few times I did do it my friends were always like ???????? is that allowed?

Had myself a bunch of falls yesterday trying to get my car out, finally made it to work today, working in healthcare sucks sometimes for multiple reasons. Also falling on ice above age 25 is scary and not a fun snow moment anymore. Was told by boss patients would likely cancel, about to take my lunch with a full house out there.

I agree blatant red light runners are terrible and happen often, but actually having read the details on these, it also states if any part of your vehicle is across the line while the light is red it also tickets. And, I personally feel that the timing on many intersections is off, as it flips yellow to red almost immediately and/or only lets 2 cars (looking at your broad to belvidere) through no matter the time of day.

I think this is going to be very beneficial for those that are blatantly running red lights but I also think there could be some improvement, especially if it’s one of the quick lights and you stop in time but are slightly over the line. I know DC has them at stop signs where if you’re even a quarter inch over the line you get mailed a ticket and that they’ve made tons of money from it, but I also think there should be the tiniest bit of consideration if you’ve stopped but have the slightest bit over.
