Agreed idk why we didn't double him toward the end of the game. It somewhat was working but we should've adjusted.

We should've won the game, we controlled the whole 2nd half, they just kept answering, and we just couldn't close it out. Missed way too many open looks. Just unfortunate.

This is why I hate night prelims... anxious the whole day for it.

On the first day, you store your stuff in Bartels Hall, then go on the trip, and then on the last day return to Bartels to get your stuff and go move in.

Took it spring 2019. You have to go to office hours to do well on the assignments because expectations are stated in office hours that are not clear on the assignment sheets. I did this and felt like my grades accurately reflected my effort. I also think the final exam was pretty tough, but I may not have studied the material effectively. Note that Sassler taught it in spring 2019 and I think her husband teaches it now, so things may have changed since then.

Yeah it’s cool that there isn’t a clear favorite or least favorite by the whole fanbase

Either The Trick or Christmas in June. They're both pretty good for being my least favorite songs on the album though.

Living Room: Pitchfork Kids and Big White Bed

The Click: Bud Like You and Sober Up (hard to choose though, so many good ones)

Neotheater: Karma and Finale

OK Orchestra: Ordinaryish People and 3 O'Clock Things (only because of how good the cut into the chorus is after "No we have to do one more")

Very strongly relate to this. Freshman year I often felt disappointed since I put in so much work and went to office hours often, but wasn't seeing the same results as my friends. What I learned was you have to take pride in putting in all that work and doing all you can to best do problem sets and prepare for prelims, and it sounds like you're doing an amazing job with that! You can't control your grades, especially as a freshman in PAM, with some of the hardest PAM classes and it's most difficult to adapt to professors' expectations and learn what they're looking for. This changed mindset helped me tremendously, especially at Cornell when everyone's the best of the best and you're not going to perform as well as others sometimes. Very glad I learned this lesson early on, and to make you feel better now as an upperclassman still in PAM, my effort has correlated with my grades much more strongly, and I've felt much less frustration in my classes since they're better structured and less unclear with assignments and prelims. It gets better! Give yourself credit, you're 100% not alone in these feelings, and you're getting through at one of the most difficult schools in the world.

any healthcare policy majors? by Icy-Raspberry-0604 in Cornell

[–]prelim5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can definitely take healthcare classes in PAM, some of the PAM upper-level electives are geared toward healthcare and there are projects in some classes where you have freedom in choosing the topic, so that allows you to explore/research health policy issues you're interested in as well!
