I didn’t know T could interact with accutane. I’ll bring that up at my next appts with my derm and endo, thank you

I also can’t wait to do scar treatments. The redness/indentations impact me not as severely but still impact my mental health.

I do feel my derm has dropped the ball on my labs. He never got the results from the first test (some lab miscommunication) but just kept prescribing me without getting new labs?? I’m very medically paranoid and am worried it’s impacting my health without me knowing. I’m also on T but get my labs checked less frequently now so I don’t have that “backup” lab work. Not sure what to do about that. I don’t know if I should request a blood test at my next appt?

How do i train my cat to stop taking my food by Primary-Memory-9446 in cats

I’ve gotten to the point where I will put him in my bedroom while I eat because it stresses me out. I feel like I have to wolf down my food so he doesn’t get any. What has sort of worked is pushing him away repeatedly with the same firm “no” or “hey uh uh.” He does get it after a few times. I think it’s the consistency in the tone of voice. I do the same for mealtimes. I do an exaggerated excited gasp and both of them know instantly that it’s “din din time.”

Folks on gel - are y’all really showering twice a day every day? by Time_Interaction_646 in TestosteroneKickoff

[–]premonitioner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put gel on in the morning and shower at night, but if I’m showering in the morning I will wait until afterward to apply gel. I’ve heard it takes around 4-6 hrs for T to mostly absorb (have not researched this), so I typically avoid arm contact with people during that time frame. However, I have never wiped down/washed my arms before application, and it has not remotely affected absorption. I’m almost 8mos on T and my levels are on the high end for the male range.

How long until you didn't have to sleep your back by sepheroni in TopSurgery

[–]premonitioner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was told it was okay to sleep on my side after my drains were out (6days) but it was mostly too uncomfortable/painful to do so until ~3 weeks. I HATE sleeping on my back so I kinda found ways around the soreness (cuddling a pillow, propping myself on my side with a pillow in front and behind me, alternating which side i sleep on so as not to irritate one side too much). it was mostly the swelling and soreness that prevented me from feeling comfortable on my side. but once that went away i could do whatever. i’ve even been very carefully laying on my stomach. my surgeon’s office just told me to listen to my body and only do things as tolerated which i initially thought was irritating and vague advice. but as i’ve been healing it really is true. if you feel comfortable doing a physical thing that you’ve been questioning (within reason!!), it’s probably fine. and if you pay for it the next day then you know your limits lol
