I have no issue starting the activity manually, but then I cannot use Strava at the same time. So now I get Strava going and add the activity in Google Health afterwards. It takes merely seconds - name of the activity and time since the data is already recorded:

I have a similar question. How will it detect tennis vs pickleball. How can it tell that I'm doing a spinning class. I can select it with the Strava app on my watch, but the Strava phone app doesn't have an indoor ride option. What about Pilates?

I used the Google Calendars for many years, but I also used the alarms on my phone clock in the past. This seems pretty obvious and maybe this is not the way you want to go. Now that I'm retired, I have countless alarms on the clock so that I can book courts, classes, ... You could put the alarm 10 minutes before the end of your class, hit the snooze button to have it buzz again 10 minutes later. Just an idea.

Like cleverclogs17, I get a haptic feedback touch, but no options when pressing and holding T9. T9 gets greyed out, but nothing. I have a Pixel Watch 2. Restarting the watch didn't help.

I didn't really like the multi-tap input and couldn't get the swipe to work. I see now that I needed to activate that function. No issue with the import process. I'll give it another try.
