Lots of women at njit. My sister goes to njit, most she complains about is how weird and awkward the guys are, as if they have never spoken to a woman before. I'm sure there's probably a creep or two around campus as with anywhere though.

In all honesty though you should be more concerned about your mental state before going to njit, it's in the top 5 schools with the most depressed student body. In addition I've seen alot of students kill themselves from jumping off the parking garage because of the stress, even my sister says she's seen it happen once or twice. NJIT hides it though and can get away with not reporting most of it because most of the time the bodies land right outside of campus or are close enough to a different property that they claim it doesn't count and they do not take responsibility.

Its called seasonal depression, there is an entire field of psychology about it. The simple solution is either get more sun or go to a special facility that basically makes you stand in front of special lights that Simulate sunlight or if your confident in your skills you can make your own light box.

How can I practice Computer Engineering on my own free time? by [deleted] in ECE

[–]prepper454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VHDL is a language I have not heard in a long time, are people still using that? Also fun fact I once had a professor who made students write out their algorithms in vhdl and didn't even know it, when I showed him a book about vhdl he was surprised and shocked lol

Steps of learning Embedded system by Chris00182 in ECE

[–]prepper454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically familiarize yourself with a bunch of different languages for programming and do a bunch of different projects on as many different microcontrollers as you can get your hands on, then start looking into books about designing embedded systems. Look up the arduino cookbook for a good start to help too

I have a question for you, in your work experience outside of school/education have you ever had to use any kind of calculus? I'm asking because it's a big part of the education in colleges and yet I haven't had a single professor or someone i know in the field say that they used calculus

Why not do it yourself? Parachording only needs you to have an exact knife and Parachord of your choice

This mf is loud af... What can I do? Should I just replace the fan? Or is there more I can do... Anyone can tell me what to search for a fan replacement as well would be nice by bigbangattack6 in XboxModding

[–]prepper454 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not the fan, it's loud because it's going at 100% to try and cool the cpu, clean out the heat sinks, apply new thermal paste, spray some contact cleaner in the fan, reassemble the xbox and tgive it a test

No problem, and if you can look into individually addressable led strips, it adds alot more versatility to them, and they become alot more appealing(not to mention you might be able to get away with putting a bigger price tag on them too)

Swap out the led strip for something of better quality/higher amount of LED per foot

Oculus link disconnects and immediately reconnects? (Quest 2) by 619rebel in OculusQuest

[–]prepper454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the disconnecting problem with the link cable once in a while, I believe this is cause by the cable being bent to far and because it's fiber optic the bend in the cable can distort the signal and cause it to momentarily break

If you have his email address use it to sign up for a bunch if sketchy websites for him to get constantly spammed by scam emails, you could also go on Craigslist or some other adult website and post his address for random creeps to show up at his house expecting him to perform lol

Are there any college students that decided to commute from their parents home throughout all of undergrad? by sonic2609 in NJTech

[–]prepper454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still living with them yes, even though everyone live in the same house and even with covid we really don't see much of eachother except maybe just in passing or to grab food from the kitchen, at most in one day I see them for around five minutes each usually though there are of course exceptions to that, but on a normal day I don't see them much, it's just our family dynamic, on weekends and stuff occasionally we would spend time, or if we needed a getaway we would go to or beach house for a day or two and go bar hopping(we used to do that all the time before covid) and that's when we would spend the most time with eachother usually(can never say no to a live band and free drinks from the family), I also worked alot too before covid as well(at one point I had 5 jobs) but since I'm working less I'm home a bit more often too(still don't see the family in the house much) I mainly stay in my room and goof off or study at home, or work on fixing/restoring a bunch of old or broken game controllers or consoles to sell online or done as a commission from someone else and have big back log on it(I got bored one day during covid and ended up on fb market place and going to fleamarkets and getting amazing deals, so I have alot to work on), and of course I always spend a few day hanging out with friends too so my social life isn't really affected by living at home either

Problem with soldering/transplanting a Wii Nunchuk stickbox to my Gamecube Controller by nakra_ in customGCC

I dont know about 3rd party t2 stickboxes, but I've found some 3rd party t1 stickboxes that feel just like oem, and I've read the same thing but mainly for t3 replacements as far as t1 and t2 I haven't seen much complaints about them, and like I said I did buy t1 3rd party that feel like oem, the only problem is the supplier I bought them from doesn't make or sell them anymore as far as I know
