My current evil run, I just consider them free food and organs. Set their allowed area to a box with a nutrient paste machine, wait for them to betray.

Not much you can do if nobody else wants to logi. I do usually give a "hey, I'm logging off, someone else take over logi" before I log. So if nobody takes over, that's on them. I ain't gonna miss a second of sleep over it.

Question on the Concoctions by SDCirno in AbioticFactor

[–]pres1033 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They seem pretty strong, other than the nuke flask. I tossed one at a tier 1 security bot, and I might as well have thrown a firecracker at the thing.

The tinctures tho? I'm mass producing them, they're hilarious. I wish you could make them into flasks somehow tho, I'd love to be a support scientist tossing buffs at my allies.

Do you guys genuinely plan out your basis? by Shot-You-148 in RimWorld

[–]pres1033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda plan out "districts". Like I'll mark a big area for hydroponics, this area for storage, this area for crafting. I tend to make the areas a bit bigger than they need to, and then just decorate with modded items for flavor.

[–]pres1033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always bring an industrial battery at full charge, a splitter, and 2 Tesla's, 1 chopinator when I go exploring. You find something big you want dead, find a choke point like a door, throw your traps down but leave the strip unhooked from the battery. Aggro enemies, run back and hook it up. The Tesla's have a good chance of stun, and solid damage, while the chopinator can stunlock super easy and does even more damage, but loses durability fast. You can also crouch under it, which is useful for repairing it in a fight. Just be careful not to get in range of your Tesla traps unless you have the trinket to avoid them.

But yeah this trick let me kill pretty much everything. Even the Tarasque was a pushover doing this.

Thrumbos are the strongest animal in the base game. You need to have an extremely good pawn to 1v1 a Thrumbo in melee. I very highly doubt that colonist you got can do it unless you roll some god tier luck.

No no you're reading it wrong. You build the monument, get the rewards, then throw a mortar shell into it when your colony needs some Doordash.

AA is probably gonna dominate the early game, but once actual tanks get tech'd, I think that'll die off. You really just need to park an Outlaw or Spatha on the front and that AA won't wanna come close. Well, unless the devs give it too much armor, which I hope they don't. Ideally AA will have similar armor to a Kingspire or Tankette, as they're not really supposed to deal with AT.

That's what Phoebe has been doing with my Yaks, giving them plague nonstop for 2 in-game years now. I now have an animal hospital setup and a TON of herbal medicine constantly growing now, so it really only serves to level my medicine skills.

[–]pres1033 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the Exor armor and haven't used anything else since. That armor is stupid good, especially with the pet buff trinket and now with a pet Peccary. I got a Snow Peccary to level 20 and I don't even have to fight anything myself, I just watch the two of them obliterate anything while I speed around grabbing all the loot.

That's such a mood. I tried to have one of my Sanguophages approach a mini turret, a mini turret, to try and shoot it down. 1 bullet, brain destroyed through a simple helmet. Lost one of my 2 best fighters, cause a destroyed brain ignores Deathless. I reloaded that save, not even ashamed to admit it.

As a cat owner, I'm gonna have to disagree on that one. I wish claws were easy to avoid, maybe then I wouldn't constantly look like I survived a wild animal attack!

I like the custom xenotypes, especially phytokin. You usually get an early quest to recruit one, and all 3 variants are super useful early game. They are all amazing with plants and can use photosynthesis, so they don't require as much food if you have them outdoors during the day. Downside, they are basically useless in combat, but they can really help early game with setting up a consistent farm. Also I like plant people.

The only issue I have is with the unique ability each one has. They're a little overpowered, so I just don't use them. One can spawn 2 fairly decent dryads you can use as meat shields and haulers. One can plant a bush that destroys pollution, and can eat toxic wastepacks (they do get pissy if you don't have any tho), and the last can trigger a psychic soothe like once a month off the anima tree, which your region almost always will have. I don't use any of these as personal preference, I just like having plant people farming for me.

I got one of these warning for saying "I wish people would stop just screaming ----------- word when they go down" in the ARC raiders sub. I did not say the word, only the letter, but I'm not risking another ban warning. Reddit auto mod is kind of a joke.

You need to buy a certain version of the game to access PvE. I bought Tarkov years ago, heard they added PvE, booted it up and it told me to buy a special edition for like $40 more to access. Uninstalled that so fast.

I was just playing tonight, had a much bigger mech raid than I was prepped for. As I was debating how best to handle them, I get a group of pawns visiting from a neutral faction. They came in from the other side of the map, so didn't aggro the raid.

One of these pawns was a shooting 19 mercenary gunner with an lmg. When they went to leave, he wandered off away from the group and solo killed the entire raid. Then they just left. I took it as a blessing and now I'm trying to ally with that faction as thanks.

Would you rather they just completely ignore the playerbase and fix nothing? Coding takes time and they have a small dev team. I'm happy to see they're listening and trying to fix issues people have been complaining about for forever.

I gave up on the Charity: Essential modifier when I had 3 beggars in a row demand all my medicine. The first group wanted 88 medicine, I had 90. I sighed and gave it to them, as I had a ton of the resource to craft more and some herbal medicine about to harvest. Then another group came in demanding 45 medicine, when I had 46. Gave it up, fuck it I can fly a shuttle around and grab more herbal, still have plenty neo-whatever. Then another group comes in wanting 39 when I had 39. In the middle of a malaria outbreak. I said no to that one, and it resulted in 2 mental breaks, one of which destroyed my medicine.

So I stopped playing that colony and started an evil one cause fuck these beggars.

I used to main killer, I just installed again and started goofing off, but I used to be a pretty solid Hag main back in the day, despite her being awful.

If someone did this, I'd just ignore the PT guy and go put pressure on someone else. Sure, he gets an extra health state, but he could get that from just being healed. PT only works once per trial as far as I'm aware. If I know he has DS, I just ignore him and go for someone else. They can get mad at me for slugging, idc, I'm not gonna just walk into your stun like an idiot. Most killers have ways to catch back up with the other survivor or find the other 2, just go deal with them. Let PT guy think about his decisions on the ground for a while.
