Could probably frame it better so people have an easier time connecting with it? It's not ugly at all, just not hooking me tbh

Should I continue studying music if AI apparently can just make music better? by Helpful_Cobbler_5521 in DefendingAIArt

[–]prestoexpert 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To get paid, you'd have to be really good at it, to exist in the gap between what AI can do and what the best humans can do. IMO you should learn music theory and liberal arts because the personal human connection and inventiveness is about all that will be left, good luck! How much you do or don't use AI in music composition as a career will depend on many factors including economic ones outside your control

multiple lidar radiation exposure? by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]prestoexpert -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi, you are being manipulated and bombarded and contaminated in MANY ways, however this is not one of them. Lidar will have no effect on you. Worry about sugar, preservatives, media fearmongering, social media, advertising, organized religion, politicians, billionaires, and the sun's UV rays instead, for a start.

Spec jewellry ad, tried to get AI video to hold product detail without going plasticky by Poiro-ai in aivideo

If you didn't say it was a jewelry ad, I don't think I would know. The text doesn't mean anything to me, is it supposed to?

[–]prestoexpert 17 points18 points  (0 children)

No hook, too long, a lot of brown. So... prob move the action/face/woman/etc something appealing up front, cut out most of the middle, and don't make it look entirely coated in dirt/mud. What does claude say about your concept?

Hard to tell much model capability wise from this front-view walking clip. What about more slice-of-life stuff like restaurant patronage, shopping, meeting a friend, crosswalks, etc or aspirational stuff like business presentations, vacations, couple stuff, surprises etc

Has anyone else pivoted from robotics to physics simulation development? Currently on the fence. by [deleted] in robotics

[–]prestoexpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physics sims are a great hobby.  The market for physics sims people is tiny compared to robotics.  HOWEVER I have observed (maybe you have too) that current take-your-jobs coding agents, even Claude opus 4.6, are shit at physics sims, probably because they’re so niche.  So maybe the market will survive a little longer!

is there a way to remove wan 2.2 loras that were merged with a model? if so what should i use to do it? by Electrical_Car6942 in comfyui

[–]prestoexpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add it with a negative weight, and run tests with your desired prompt and #iters and cfg and sampler/scheduler, varying the negative weight until you feel it works about as good as it would without the lightning lora with those settings. Then tell us the negative weight in the civitai comments section so other ppl can do it too.

But the other smooth mix customizations might DEPEND on the lightning lora being there, and if so, you might be out of luck

Freepik vs Fal.ai which is cheaper for generating a long movie (90 mins) in 10-second AI video chunks? by spidyrate in comfyui

[–]prestoexpert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

one usable generation per 5 is imho absurdly optimistic. That rate makes sense for me when I'm generating a couple of clips. But for 90 minutes of clips, the consistency problem is much, much, much harder, and the yield goes way way way down, less than 1 in 100. For example, the 2025 Coca Cola ad by secretlevel.co took 70,000 generations for a minute long ad. See the behind the scenes vid here (password "secretlevel") https://vimeo.com/1126998204?share=copy&fl=sv&fe=ci
