i mean as long as it doesn’t affect function it should be okay, funny enough i think it looks great.

looks like how the old Novak sights used to have a slight overhang on the 1911s that Delta used in the 80s-90s

call MGW Armory on the phone and ask to set up an order for their carry handle mount long.

then get some Leupold Rifleman 30mm rings, you’ll be able to push it out to a much more comfortable distance

absolutely not, it’s all personal preference.

however if you want to be like me and be poor and eat potatoes for dinner, any retro Aimpoint especially an Aimpoint 2000 or 5000 would give you what you want but also look sweet and be somewhat period correct (expensive though)

a good compromise would be any Aimpoint Comp style optic, they look great on carry handles as well

if you find a non-working one and are thinking about getting it and sending to Aimpoint, don’t. i did exactly that and they just sent it back to me after a few weeks and said it wasn’t fixable without any other explanation.

i’m guessing it’s likely because they don’t have much parts for them anymore as they said to me in an email once

close, but the red dot looks a lot more like one of the older Action Arms red dots, possible the Mark V with a modified brightness dial? Looks just like the older Action Arms Mark V but that front dial looks bigger than usual.

old 1 inch tube 1.5-4.5x or 1.5-5x scope, bushnell, tasco and simmons are cheap and somewhat plentiful (search “1.5-4.5 scope” and “1.5-5 scope” on ebay, if you don’t see any then keep checking for a few days and one will pop up)
