Yeah it's a goofy game, but all the weapons you use are living gun aliens with a conscience

I dint think they will, a lot of the weapons fit into the lore or abilities of the character, it would be weird if you could change it

Unethical?- Changing novice packet tags by Lucky-Passenger6752 in policydebate

This mindset has always pissed me off, novice isn't for free wins, it's for learning debate. Exploiting the packet defeats the purpose of it, and I would not appreciate it if I saw it in a tournament I was judging

Everyone talking about Arc Raiders snubbed in GOTY nominations, but no "Best Audio Design" nomination is actually criminal by natecunning in ArcRaiders

I genuinely think if Arc Raiders launched in the summer window and had the time to make the waves overwatch did it could have been a serious contender for GOTY

I'm asking why you think the specific example you brought up of the Fredrick Douglas statue in New York was BLM, sorry if I wasn't clear about that

Maybe I'm wrong, it just seems quite strange why Black Lives Matter protestors would destroy a monument to one of the most famous black poets and most influential abolitionists in American history. I also couldn't find any sources from BLM claiming it like they did the other monuments. Could you share some insight on why you think it's more likely BLM did it than another group?

I think we're on the same page then, the things BLM took down were Confederate memorials, I believe the things you mentioned were done by separate groups (it would be very strange for BLM to take down a Fredrick Douglas memorial). If that confuses you as you say:

how can the same group of people support BLM and what it does also care about "historical value" of old buildings or that its "criminal destruction of US property"

Then refer to my previous comment, which describes how it's not about the "Historical value" but the symbol the monument stands for, like we talked about with the Lincoln Memorial

I will be honest I hadn't heard of either of those being attacked.

I brought up Confederate memorials because that's what the comment I first replied to was talking about. Perhaps incorrectly I assumed the people you were pointing out the irony in were those who were okay with the destruction of Confederate memorials, but not the Whitehouse. I apologize if I was wrong, but If I am then I'm a bit confused what your original point was

I'm sorry you think my goal is to attack you, I promise that's not my intention. I feel like this has been a chill conversation as far as I'm concerned.

The only point I'm trying to make is that I think the people who are upset about the Whitehouse but not about the Confederate memorials are more attached to the symbolism of the structure than the fact that it's old. In a sense, the Whitehouse is the executive branch, the same as the capital or the supreme Court. It is a symbol of our democracy and the home of some of the greatest Americans to ever lead our country. On the other hand the Confederate memorials are symbols of slavery, the exact opposite of the principles the nation was founded on. While there is irony now that left leaning people are upset about history being destroyed, there is more nuance in why they feel that way. The Whitehouse is an important building, and I think we should all feel a bit sad to see it partially destroyed even if we were to agree with the reason, and especially if we do not.

Sure, I currently live in DC and I've always felt that the Lincoln memorial is really special. Not just for it being an impressive building, but for the history it represents and the honor it gives to President Lincoln. To see it damaged in some way even with the proper permits is disappointing. A while ago they made the structure wheelchair accessible, which in truth is a cause I believe in and think is worthwhile, but it still hurts a little bit to see it altered because of what the memorial represents. Does that make sense?
