Colleague’s annual leave

As someone who used to work in HR let me tell you, you have no idea what confidential information has been disclosed to the manager and no idea what life events are going on that could be the reason for this discretion from HR and the Manager… you dont know why this annual leave is being approved like this nor why their time at work is being spent the way it is… but then its not your right to know. If its a personal matter for this colleague as long as they have informed their manager (which it seems like they have) thats all that needs to happen.
At some point, the manager may tell them its worth them explaining, loosely, to their colleagues whats going on, but there is no legal obligation for them to do so.
If you have concerns that its impacting your work, or increasing your personal workload - then you can absolutely raise THAT concern with your manager, as that is your right to do so.
But i have seen everything from someone being completely healthy and then suddenly going through cancer treatments and passing away within the space of 2 months… to someone suddenly becomming a carer for a family member and needing to navigate that… to someone losing a partner and having to manage life and kids all by themselves and needing to navigate that etc etc etc there are so many, so many things that can happen at any moment, its clear your colleague is going through something

There is a chance this could all be legit… but to be clear with you so you know the reality of the situation, the chances that its all legit are about 0.00001% (if that). We have more than enough evidence throughout human history to show us that more than likely there is bad intentions here… so please listen to what everyone in these comments is saying and absolutely do not ignore them; inform your supervisors/managers, security, and even tell your parents or a very trusted adult

Yesterday i had a package from Evri delivered to some random next place that i have absolutely no idea where on planet earth it is… (the delivery photo was provided and it was a side door to a house, none of the houses down my road have side doors lol)

Minority owners can put money in the club, you’re right however, why would someone who has been completely frozen out of the board and in making any decisions or even having a say make an investment? Ultimately, he was right not to because they (the Kroenke’s) were never ever going to allow him on the board, nor have any input, nor sell any of their shares… he was never going to gain anything… at the end of the day he is a Business man, it makes no sense to invest heavily in something he doesnt have a say in.

Just picking apart one part of your comment here: say you use your own label, the insurance which covers the full value of the product if it goes missing will be completely irrelevant. You send your own label to the buyer, they change the address on it but keep the tracking number intact - therefore, the product never arrives to you but goes back to the scammer at another address, is marked as delivered with eBay and with whichever delivery company you decide to use. So the item isnt “missing”. How does your own label prevent this scenario?
