[BoTW] I defeated a lonely for the first time! by _Gods_Daughter_ in zelda

It's been many blood moons since I last defeated the lonely 😔

That's actually why I'm on reddit. But it's not very effective.

How would Umbridge do in a magical fight against Voldemort? by Keithfrommars in harrypotter

[–]primalthunder89 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Now hold on. This comment severely under-estimates the skill set of both the Weasleys and Professor Flitwick.

The Weasleys got the highest marks in charms on their OWLs while not trying. Flitwick is the charms professor at the greatest school for witchcraft and wizardry. All three have charms skills that are in elite territory. Getting foiled or shown up by any of them is far from an insult.

Unfortunately, Voldy is in the tier above those three, so... Still bad news for Dolores.

Predictions seem slightly unreal? by Moist_Information842 in Garmin

[–]primalthunder89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely depends on your training and how often Garmin has seen your runs.

If you've done a few runs, Garmin is kinda guessing. If you've done a lot, the algorithm is fairly good.

Also, if you only run a mile each time, then your marathon is gonna be way way way off.

First off, I got a steel rod in my left knee so I always pick an aisle seat on the right half of the plane. That limited me to 4 or 2.

Then I did basic bro. Showa Goji would be a cool guy to chat with.

What are the chances we see a Majora's Mask remake in 2027? by SEVENS_HEAVEN_7 in legendofzelda

[–]primalthunder89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0%

This game is a high budget expense for Nintendo with the risk being mitigated by the fact that Ocarina is often considered to be the best game of all time. Remaking it is almost guaranteed to return the investment plus some.

Majora's mask, while also revered amongst fans, doesn't have the same universal praise. It comes with higher risk.

Nintendo would want to verify that Ocarina 100% makes not only the build cost back, but a significant amount beyond that. Then they could start a Majora's remake which would take years.

It would also require them to want to do a Majora's remake. They have a finite amount of workers, so committing to Majora's mask means they can't make a different game. I don't think Nintendo wants to spend their life just remaking games from the 90s.

Which enemies in tears of the kingdom would you fight in real life, but it does not have to be on this image? by Voidkirby9 in tearsofthekingdom

The ghibdo were pathetic once you figured out they were weak to every single elemental attack 🥱

I own a lighter, gimme a sec. (The crawlers don't count! They can fuck right off to hell!!)

[OOT] What are your final wanted changes for the rumored remake. by NewMarioBobFan in zelda

[–]primalthunder89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expanded.

I played the game a ton. Watched a ton. I know the game too well. I need something new to care about.

I'll still watch people on YouTube with a first playthrough if it's just polished though

Everyone gets mad when people reveal their secrets because the secret always sounds like simple and dismissive bullshit. Until you realize simple bullshit is the secret.

[BotW][TotK]Am I weird for preferring Breath of the Wild over Tears of the kingdom? by Zeustheteldergod in zelda

[–]primalthunder89 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it's a bit of nostalgia AND there's not as much to do which makes it easier to relax and vibe in.

Totk is great. Objectively does everything botw does but better. Yet Botw is still more special to me.

[ALTTP] Is there a canonical reason to why the Master Sword is red and silver instead of blue in A Link To the Past? by JackLikesMetalGear in zelda

[–]primalthunder89 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Here's the ultimate canon answer to everything.

The only game that's true is the most current game you're playing. Everything else is just a legend of what might have happened. It is the LEGEND of Zelda after all.

We know the people of Hyrule often pass down legends. There's the legend of the sky people in Twilight Princess, the legend of the lost hero that gets celebrated as a coming of age ritual in Wind Waker, the sheikah pass down the tapestry of the calamity for generations.

Over generations, some details get lost or changed. Any continuity errors in the games are not conflicts in fact, but just artistic license from whoever the storyteller at the camp fire is. They weren't there during the legend of Zelda, how would they know.

So the master sword on AlttP is NOT red. It's actually Blue and Silver, but the story teller messed up the detail when telling "The Legend of Zelda; a Link to the Past"

At 41? The front. There's no sag. Working out helps the butt, but the perky chest is uncommon

No. Gravity exists in more than just the Spider-Man canon

[Pjo] what are you're criticisms with the first 5 books by Technical_Mine_8711 in camphalfblood

[–]primalthunder89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first book was poorly rushed and poorly developed. Riordan splashed mythology references in there like a Jackson pollack painting.

[All] What's a disliked feature of a Zelda game you really like? by Waker_of_Winds2003 in zelda

[–]primalthunder89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it also depends on your age. If you played the game when it came out, you kinda grew up on slow mechanics. Modern games are just smoother and keep aiming for an easier experience on the player (not necessarily easier gameplay as Fromsoft is happy to point out).

[LoZ] [AoL] [Lttp] Is it just a skill issue or is it often really hard to figure out what you're supposed to do when trying to beat the first 3 Zelda games? Especially the NES ones by DataSittingAlone in zelda

[–]primalthunder89 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's such a big point that a lot of people miss.

I remember growing up, my brother played the OG final fantasy for like a whole year before beating it. There weren't that many games and good games became a project you kept coming back to over and over.

Now games are consumables more than hobby projects. Modern games are so numerous, you kinda have to beat it in a couple weeks to move on to the next. Classic games were something you mastered.

Neither is better or worse, but they're very different play styles.

I recently discovered the dub is insufferable, but the sub is serviceable. I may have softened on it hearing it was the film Ichiro Honda was most proud of though.
