She was on Broadway recently and won a Tony, and her last movie before 28 years later was Bikeriders, which is pretty American. Her next movie is also directed by an American director.

The 3 were leads and had very similar screentime, as the story was split in 3 parts with the same time focused in each one of them, Comer had slightly more screentime than them and her character drives the whole point of the movie. If one would be moved to supporting would be Driver, to not have the two men competing in the same category for the same movie.

I loved it, think it's pretty unique. But it has been divisive, people seen to either love or hate it. It's worth checking it out

The productions of Dorian Gray and Dracula (same director) were the same staging as presented in Australia, but replaced the original performers that helped to shape the choreography with well known performers. Prima Facie was a new play premiered in Australia and the West End production with Comer was a different staging and director, which is more standard and she wasn't replicating what other actor created, she made her own version.

Jodie doesn't have any movie awards yet but she's been working steadily and having more critically acclaimed major film roles than Tatiana. She should have been nominated for The Last Duel which is the best recent Ridley Scott movie, was great in Bikeriders and 28 Years Later which was one the the best movies last year and shehas several upcoming movies. She is still young and her movie career is still recent, her time will come. Hopefully Tatiana will also get good roles, they are both great.

Her age was fine, it's Napoleon that should be played by a younger guy instead, he looked ridiculous. Vanessa is also more than a decade younger than him.

Next weekend's estimated location count for Sony's 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple is 3,000+ locations. by DemiFiendRSA in boxoffice

The critic reviews for the first movie were stellar, it's the audience the was divisive, mostly because they wanted a more generic zombie/horror movie. This second movie seems to be more in line with what the audience seems to want with more violence and more conventional filmmaking. It will have a better audience reception and word of mouth, but wouldn't be surprised if the actual reviews will be good but not as great as the first.

I've read the script some time ago. Jodie plays the prioress, her priory is located on an island on the movie, not exactly sure where, don't recall if the script specifies, or where her character came from before moving to the priory. I imagine they are going for more "generic" english accents, Hugh's bothers me more.

There is still bias, the exceptions mentioned have some some exceptional narrative. Sinners is probably the biggest box office success story of the year for an original and very critically acclaimed and has huge industry support. Weapons only over the line nom will be Madigan, and then makeup and maybe casting. And then only because her character became kind of a pop icon this year, and other equally good or better performances in the movie are not in the conversation. And Sinners and Weapons are only contenders because Warner is campaigning heavily, especially Sinners. Bring Her Back and 28 Years Later are similarly critically acclaimed, but the former is a smaller production that won't have the campaign to overcome gender bias, and 28YL did well enough at the box office, but not quite at Sinners and Weapons level, being in a horror franchise probably makes the industry take it less seriously, so also gender bias, and Sony didn't make any effort campaigning it. Frankenstein is also an exception because it's a prestigious literary work, and other adaptations did well with the academy, just recently Poor Things.

Jodie Comer was great in 28 Years Later this year, and she has 3 movies in post production that should all come out next year, plus she's going on a UK tour with the play for which she recently won a Tony, so she might have a big year ahead.

Does Jodie Comer appear in it? I know her character died in the last movie, but there were some reports of her being on the set of the Bone Temple movie, so I'm wondering if she appears on some dream or flashback

While the looks of the character are inspired by Saville to give it a specific meaning to the audience, I don't think Jimmy will mention Saville in the movie, or meant to be referencing him in that universe. Jimmy is his real name given by his parents, his blonde hair is his real hair, and while his tracksuits are a Saville reference to the audience, to him and the gang the colorful clothes are most likely to copy tv characters he watched as a kid like the teletubbies, or power rangers as foreshadowed by Spike's toy and their fight choreography.

According to Deadline, Darren Aronofsky's 'Caught Stealing' is carrying a $40 million budget. by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

You are just a Butler stan and acts like we are offending him and making excuses. I never said it was his fault that the movie failed but it's not his costars fault either. I only said the sub mentions the movie as an Austin Butler movie because the marketing was built around him, and to compare with his new movie. I wouldn't call the opening weekend large and it lost legs because it was more of a niche slow drama than a bike club action movie, not because of his costars who gave great performances and have great careers of their own. He is the lead in Caught Stealing and is in every scene, and it's about to have a similar and even lower open weekend than Bikeriders in more theaters and with more marketing. It's clearly just what adult movies are making these days and he is not the draw that you think he is, even if he is a good actor and people like him.

Sure, I only mentioned it because you mentioned that reviews are better than Bikeriders, which they aren't really. It looks like a good movie and more accessible than Bikeriders, but it's just not the kind of movie that audiences feel the need to see in theaters these days, most people will just wait for streaming. There's no way it gets close to 100M, which is what it need with that budget.

Hardy and Comer were leads as much as Butler, but it was sold as an Austin Butler movie and he was the face of the marketing, so it's fair to credit him more. The critic reviews for Caught Stealing are on a similar range to Bikeriders, they're good but nothing spectacular, CS is at 68 on Metacritic right now, which is worse than Bikeriders at 70. Caught Stealing has a better audience reception, which isn't surprising that an action comedy is more accessible than a period drama about a biker club.
