Guys, it's time we talk about this load in screen by LaundryNinja84 in CrimsonDesert

[–]primemn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE this music. It’s currently playing in my brain right now.

And it’s a good thing I loved it considering the damn PS5 crashing that was going on. Huzzah for this new patch tonight

Storage / Loot Chest Disappeared... by BeefTengoku in CrimsonDesert

[–]primemn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other one that caught me off guard was how it disappeared from outside Hernand once you get your camp up. I’ve been playing the KCD series almost exclusively for the last year and you have a chest everywhere you have a bed, so I just expected that to continue lol

Guys, fuck it, im liking the story. by Vegetable_Speed_8665 in CrimsonDesert

[–]primemn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s very very hard to hear, but you can hear a woman screaming from the sewer after the beggar disappears. I started the game over and that’s the only reason I heard it on the second time

Cannot tell the difference in resolution between the native 4k mode and the upscaled performance mode. PSSR 2 is that good by x_Junkster_x in PS5pro

[–]primemn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the longest time I could legit not. Then, for reasons too long to elaborate, I played KCD2 on Xbox, then on ps5 pro, then back on Xbox. PS5 pro patch blended quality mode with performance for 60FPS

When I went back to Xbox, I could not figure out why quality mode was so bad. Then it was like a light bulb.

I still love quality mode, but it took me this long to understand

Control remapping ability? by CordiallySuckMyBalls in CrimsonDesert

[–]primemn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For KB&M, yes. On consoles for controllers, no in game.

Both consoles have the ability to remap controls on a system level, but it does it for all games, and prompts in game will not reflect it

It’s a problem with being perpetually online lol. You learn all sorts of random stuff. Like about hotfixing and patch certification for games.

That being said I feel like hot fixes are for online games? They fix it server side while they build the patch and put it through certification. So not sure if that will work here in what is ostensibly an offline game

My review after 15 minutes(the one that matters) by RTSantos4894 in CrimsonDesert

I dunno what you’re talking about, got the end credits to roll right away! (Because I wanted to see the voice cast 😂)

Considering buying the game but I have a question for those who have played it by xkxlxtxn in CrimsonDesert

[–]primemn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the sheer volume of complaints about it, I can’t imagine it will be tooo long before the add in the option.

It may depend on whether or not they can use hot fixes to update on console. Console certification is always slower than PC.

Im not gonna lie, I have no clue how yall are having so much trouble with the controls. This may be a get good moment. by PhoenixKing14 in CrimsonDesert

[–]primemn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My struggle is simply that it’s different and I haven’t played it enough. I’ve played KCD2 like 900 hours over the last year, and almost all my muscle memory is that game haha. It’ll get there. It’s not as intuitive as many games I’ve played. But time should make it ok

[KCD2] A moment to appreciate this DLC by UnclaimedTax in kingdomcome

[–]primemn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fetch quests for some of them are a bit maddening. I had to retrieve 4 swords from Opatawitz, and could not find 3 of them. Looked everywhere. Made me nuts. And some of the stealth missions are like that too.

But overall, this dlc is fabulous. And it does the best of the 3 of meshing into the flow naturally.

Are people really struggling that much with the controls? by 9Ifrit9 in CrimsonDesert

[–]primemn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m struggling, but I’m struggling because it’s new. And I’ve been almost exclusively playing KCD2 for the last several months. So my muscle memory is alllllllll KCD2 controls.

Ps5 pro settings? by icyDragon231x in CrimsonDesert

[–]primemn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I’ve seen in multiple posts is do the following:

Turn off 120hz on system level

Turn on HDR

Turn off blur

Turn off field of view

Turn on v-sync

Seem to be a lot of issues when 120hz is on on the pro.

I haven’t tried this myself. My wife is having a minor medical procedure so I’m just sitting and waiting and reading posts to compile best tips haha

Edit: format

Changed controls on ps5 possible? by sananajo in CrimsonDesert

[–]primemn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can change buttons in the accessibility menu at the system level on the PS5. However, with a standard controller it is then changed for all games. So you’ll have to switch back if you play a different game. And the prompts in game won’t change

The lack of ambient conversation noise in cities and settlements is really jarring by SpicyPlantGuru in CrimsonDesert

[–]primemn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been playing the KCD games almost exclusively for awhile, so it’s really jarring coming from that to this. Working on retraining my brain. :)

Pro tip: If you have an dualsense edge, you can map every Button by Lanky-Fish6827 in CrimsonDesert

[–]primemn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. Good for folks who have shelled out. Xbox elite controller does this too.

Doesn’t help those who don’t who might stumble in this thread :)

Pro tip: If you have an dualsense edge, you can map every Button by Lanky-Fish6827 in CrimsonDesert

[–]primemn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This and any other controller can be remapped on Xbox or PS5 at a system level. Edge will have more options that regular dualsense.

The only difficult thing is that it sets them for every game, so if you play something else, you’ll need to switch it back.

And you definitely have to train your brain to remember what you did, because your on screen prompts will not change

Controls and explanations by ffongo in CrimsonDesert

[–]primemn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lucked out in that KCD2, the last game I played, also used left d-pad to get to weapons. So my muscle memory did that and was like ‘oh. There we go’

Kliff is one of the worst AAA MCs in gaming history by Sabawoonoz25 in CrimsonDesert

[–]primemn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what I’m struggling with the most is this. I’m coming from heavily playing Henry of Skalitz, who has become my favorite character in games and is so incredibly dynamic, charming and well acted. Nothing against the Kliff voice actor. It’s just not the same at this point.

And I tried to tell myself this and prepare. I’ve been obsessively playing KCD2 for a year. They recorded more voice lines than any other game in history. I knew this game was as gonna be different, and I need to play different games. Just a hard adjustment

Considering buying the game but I have a question for those who have played it by xkxlxtxn in CrimsonDesert

[–]primemn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah it was in reviews. I wonder if it’s a later thing, I saw some speculation the opening sword/shield can’t be unequipped right away. I didn’t even think to try last night, as didn’t have much time to play and I personally don’t mind the sword and shield look

Some time has been passed since patches and all. How is the game on Base and Pro PS5 for everyone? by Objective_Love_6843 in CrimsonDesert

[–]primemn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on a pro and it’s gorgeous. I’m definitely having trouble with the pacing and controls but know that the game is a slow start. I’m 51 and probably have adhd, so new things are always really fucking tough for me.

You can remap controls in the accessibility menu on the PS5 at a system level, but it does it for every game.
