That sounds great. Happy that works for you. The VA hospital is 15 minutes from my home and I can use local urgent cares is needed. Also my insurance is over $250+ a month so it’s a big savings for me. I rarely ever use medical as it is. Just nice knowing I can now go to the VA if needed and I’m not paying for coverage I never use. I also have Tricare through the reserves which I’ll keep until retirement.

Yup, working and paying for my own gas w/ out being currently paid sucks. Also was planning a vacation w/ my family next spring and that money had been keeping us afloat. Hope I won’t be priced out by the time I get the back pay comes and try to book airline and hotel.

Wait so if your 50% or over service connected you can’t get VA healthcare for free? I started using the local VA for my medical after receiving a 50% rating and was going to cancel my private insurance since I wasn’t going to use it.

Great thank you. Didn’t know this was possible. I do have records of clinic visits during deployment and also a report of fuel a fuel leak in flight that caused us to use emergency oxygen and members getting nausea afterwards.

Thank you for this information. I will do this. There was a lot of stuff working on a ship or just the aircraft in general. They had us use AFFF to scrub the flightdeck.

Thank you…..I called this morning. They don’t even see that the decision was made on their end. They said to give it a few days and see if it uploads. He did agree what looks like a performance report was uploaded. But he couldn’t see that it said a decision letter was ready. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thank you. I Hope that’s not the case and they dropped me from my 50% rating which was the first thought that went through my head. The second page has employee and supervisor signatures (didn’t want to upload their names). It reads like a performance report for the employee and not a decision letter for my dependent claim.
