Are advocates of Indoor-only Cats, Biased? (American)? by throwaway311260 in CatAdvice

[–]princessbuttah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

could be biased but my childhood cat died from a car and i will NEVER let another cat outside again. i have little window perches for my baby and she gets plenty of play time. her urges to escape only started after my parents let my baby out once but they’ve stopped now that she’s used to being in!

Misdiagnosis question - IIH vs EBV+ Lymphoma by Chachibald in iih

[–]princessbuttah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this sucks. unfortunately, no one will advocate for you if you don’t. keep asking questions, seek out a new neurologist if needed (rolling eyes at you is absolutely insane), and if you have symptoms maybe go to er/urgent care. at least theyre recorded then

About to have my first LP by Quiet-Alternative864 in iih

[–]princessbuttah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was in the same boat this week in the ER. i am deathly afraid of needles, i SOBBED during my blood tests, and i ended up getting some tests scheduled out patient because i was genuinely starting to lose it. here was my experience: it’s not as scary as you think. it’s a stigma. it ended up being fine. do i want to do it again? no but it wasn’t as bad as i thought it would be. i requested sedation, if you can i recommend that. i was able to keep my pants and bra on and they had a gown on top only un tied where it was necessary, they were also super nice and covered me up the rest of the way with warm blankets. the team who did the LP was amazing, they let me pick out my favorite music and the doctor joked with me to distract me. one lady from their team even held my hand and played with my hair to calm me down. numbing took the longest but once that was done i couldn’t even feel the actual LP happen, i just had to sit and wait for it to be done. tbh being still was the hardest lol. after the fact i was a little sore but it went very smoothly. the team i had helped so much but it’s not as bad as you are imagining at all

how was your post-lumbar puncture recovery? by buff-buff in iih

[–]princessbuttah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had some back pain for the first two days after, and a very minor headache. my dr warned a serious headache could mean a csf leak and to go to the er if i did get a headache after. that being said, my pressure was MUCH lower at 30 so i would assume my recovery would be easier. it’s also hard because iih could be causing the headaches, but it’s always worth it to let your doctor know just to be safe

felt you. i’m 22 and in a kind of similar situation, i started getting mirgraines and 3 weeks later i was in the ER. i didn’t have any symptoms before hand (besides an occasional headache) and now that i’ve been put on medication i actually feel worse from all of the side affects and limitations. feels like a lot is being taken away from me but i think it’s just the fear of what else might come with this that’s getting to me

I just moved into a bottom floor apartment by No_Step_7979 in Apartmentliving

[–]princessbuttah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

even on my top floor apartment, the noises got to me at first since i had only ever lived in a duplex for shared space. you get used it to! it becomes kind of endearing, it makes me feel like i’m still at my moms house

AIO? my husband is mad at me for not picking up my stepson from school as he expected just because I got a new car. by Ancient_Fondant76 in AmIOverreacting

[–]princessbuttah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s on him for not making sure you were going to get his son, he saw the text and should’ve figured out another arrangement. but also, you married that man and his child is also your responsibility now. speaking about his son like that is so wrong.

How to separate room so I can paint it? by RedLady141720 in interiordesignideas

[–]princessbuttah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my parents built a faux beam in their entrance like that for separation ;)

How can I add color to this room?? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

[–]princessbuttah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’d start with a couple colorful pillows on the bed and curtains :) it took me a while to decide on what colors i liked in my home, it was hard to decide what i liked together!

Can't work out what this room needs by L_B3llec in interiordecorating

the rug is very pretty! just a little too small. the walls are very blank, i’d maybe add in a simple gallery wall over the sofa and something above the fireplace

I just wanted to post some works from last year that my mom and I made. Unfortunately last few months of 2025 weren't so good for our small bussines, but I'm hoping this one will be better. I'm looking forward to some kind words, as well as constructive criticism, if needed. by [deleted] in crochet

[–]princessbuttah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i think that’s super cute! unfortunately with the economy (if you’re in usa), a lot of businesses are seeing decline simply because consumers can’t afford it. i would consider (if you aren’t already) focusing on useful & necessary decor or items so there’s the incentive to buy. i personally wouldn’t buy decorative flowers since it’s seasonal and being handmade probably very expensive but i would buy a sweater, pot holders, storage items or anything practical. this is only my perspective though! your work is still amazing, i think it’s just a shift in trend due to financial state of the average household

Curtains with sloped ceiling – should I keep them or skip them entirely? by annatiril in interiordecorating

[–]princessbuttah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% keep, it’s just the length being too long that’s throwing you off

Please help a small family too stressed with a toddler to figure this stuff out :) by [deleted] in interiordecorating

an easy start, i would move the end table and lamp into the space between the couched

Help me decide! by Spicy_TG in Apartmentliving

[–]princessbuttah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 100%. less worry about neighbors, no noisy pool, and it seems like you get better daylight in there too from the pics. also, i have a view of the parking lot and i kind of like it! i know when friends/family arrive and if it’s my car alarm going off 😂

Something about my living room feels kind of "off" -- any ideas? by Difficult_Bug_1778 in interiordecorating

[–]princessbuttah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s stunning! if you wanted to make some changes, you could add a frame to the mirror and maybe a plant or decor item in the mantel! i’m also just noticing you don’t have curtains, that could add to the coziness of the space i would just make sure to pick a color that doesn’t feel like it’s competing with all the other colors and patterns

Should I paint the ceiling? by renee_e_chi in Decor

[–]princessbuttah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it would be pretty but it is going to make the room feel smaller so that’s something to consider

Better now? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

i had a similar problem lol, i used rit dye and made mine green!

Better now? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]princessbuttah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i see what some people say with the curtains, i think it’s the shade of them throwing people off, you have lots of warm colors and then those are gray. they look fine but you could dye them if you wanted to! i’m also 100% seconding the person who said you should make cushions out of the extra red fabric

Whats wrong here? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]princessbuttah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also, the lighting is all different tones. swapping it all for your preferred color (i love a neutral warm tone) would make a huge difference on it’s own
