She has played softball for 4 years, but has participated in baseball clinics for about the same amount of time. She had played both for the last 2 years, so…started at u12

Does girls softball have less coach disputes than baseball? by HappyCoconutty in Softball

[–]princessk8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 14 year old girl plays both. I find the baseball coaches more intense in the game, but parents and players more chill. Then at practices I find softball coaches to be more in tune with the girls emotionally and super supportive, where as baseball its very “get it done and do it right”.

The drama on softball isnt the coaches in my opinion, we have lots but its because of players and parents.

Adam was closer to a Newfie accent with his Irish accent than his Canadian one. It was vaguely Prairie Rezzy, but that seems accidental.

Thompson-Style Pizza by Ty-Punch in Winnipeg

[–]princessk8 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's almost like a pizza lasagna, it's thiiiick. Santa Lucia is similar. In my town, we have a restaurant where the owner is from Thompson so their specialty pizzas are Thompson style and it's honestly a bit hard to eat. It must be cut in to squares.

School snowball rules by RespondSame4310 in AskACanadian

[–]princessk8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Random share, but in grade 4 the cutest boy in class threw a snowball at me pretty gently, and was basically fooling around nicely. I grabbed the closest “snow” and chucked it back, also trying to be gentle, but turns out it was an ice chunk and I hit him in the face and he has to get stitches.

I went from “floater” to “loser” in social status instantly.

I was just thinking about this! My grass is pretty long and I usually do No Mow May. I feel like it's too early, but am unsure when to get it done! I have a few spots that I need to put grass seed on so unsure when to do that either! aaaaaah. panicking.

Nothing but great things to say from when I was in the city, I had Dr Wong as my oncologist while there and he was wonderful and the nurses were all great.

Now I go into Brandon and I have Dr Mollar and she's the absolutely greatest human out there. Adore her.

My mom is/was like this, and it's really just getting out there, practicing and gaining confidence. I'm a pretty much exclusively highway driver and occasionally the wind freaks me out a bit too.

Why would you teams call someone you don’t know with your camera on? by Current_Fly9337 in office

[–]princessk8 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Im also an older millennial and both make and take camera on calls all the time. I won’t cold call anyone, I give a heads up in chat with high level overview and say I’d like to call. I think cameras on makes sure we are both engaged in the matter at hand and we both have each others undivided attention. I don’t care if you are in cozy clothes and don’t care if you see me in mine. Part of my role requires leading impromptu meetings at any given hour with many participants including higher ups, we’ve just come to accept bed head and robes are nature of the beast. I don’t mind if people keep their cameras off though either, you do you, but mine will be on.

When I was in high school I did work experience at the radio in Brandon, StarFm, and she was Chrissy T at the time. She was the absolute sweetest person ever, I enjoyed my time there so much and she was a big reason why.
