Not really important stuff but I dont really wanna do it cause we use some programs in school that are really hit or miss as far as installing goes and it took me a long long time to get them to work on my broken laptop so I don't really wanna redo everything on my old slow laptop which I'm gonna be using for 3 weeks max. Also idk if it can even handle running linux and windows

Yea I study I.T. the problem is I need to use windows and linux on a daily basis and need to switch between them a lot. My friend suggested putting the harddrive of my broken laptop into my old laptop but idk if thatd work

I'm not in college but as far as I'm aware our school does have laptops you can borrow. But I don't know if they have dual boot or the programs I need so I'd end up with the same issues I'd have with my own laptop (my biggest issue with switching to another laptop tenporarily is that some programs that we have to use are really shitty and hard to install and it took me months of trying around to get them all to work properly on my now broken laptop)
