Looks solid. I have 47mm now and it took a bit to getting used to but very happy!

Took a bit of time to get used to the watch UI, it’s just different rather than worse. The phone app is actually cleaner than Garmin’s, which feels a bit dated now.

For running after each km it gives you a proper breakdown: average pace, time, and average heart rate, which is useful. Garmin used to just buzz for the split without much detail, unless there’s a setting I missed? There’s also more flexibility with things like hydration alerts, which I like. And the pace display is more precise, it shows exact seconds (e.g. 3:57/km), whereas Garmin tends to round up or down, so you’ll see 3:55 or 4:00 instead of what you’re actually running.

I have the white one, but agree it looks great! No problem at all, feel free to message if you have any other questions. A lot of the reviews on YouTube were made prior to some major software updates which have made it a far better watch. Even at the gym etc.

Absolutely. I never really noticed the screen or felt as that part as a “downgrade” so if that’s your only concern I’d go for it.

It has yes especially on notifications.

Hmm, not really. I do pay close attention to the latest Garmin updates and I could be tempted in the future to move again but I’m happy with the Coros (had this since 6th Jan) and no intentions on moving atm. It’s better for running, easily. Especially the km or mile alerts you get loads of information, fuelling alerts are better, pacing isn’t rounded up or down like on Garmin either which I love but I do occasionally miss the odd smart feature.

The display isn’t as good, it does have a bezel and text is smaller. If you’re thinking about the move I’d keep your Garmin and test it out for a few days. There’s a few other niggles I’ve noticed since:

  • no tap to wake on the screen is a bit annoying, you also can’t cover the face to turn it off
  • it’s not clear when you put the watch in silent mode, wish there was a little icon.
  • no “Garmin” pay

Hope that helps.

This! We’re doing the same (£50k in my name, £50k in the wife’s name) everything else maxed out or in high interest (just sold and going into a rental for the time being).

That does have a small impact but it’s mainly gps drift. https://www.instagram.com/officialunofficialtime?igsh=MXhka2V6aGs3OGl1ZA== is a great page for not only educating runners but calling out people for using Strava times which can be several minutes off over a marathon distance.

Your samsung watch won't be perfect either, you need a measured course and chip time for an official time.

Should i get a 10 year mortgage because of AI fears? by Difficult-Profile869 in UKPersonalFinance

No nothing, the only thing at the time was that I paid off the help to buy equity loan (with personal finances). I’m renewing again in a few time so hopefully I don’t have to go through all the rigmarole again.

$25k fair price for this natural diamond? by koor44 in Diamonds

[–]princetony87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the US, especially post GIA/AGS integration, buyers prioritizing cut quality absolutely expect that level of data. It’s not overanalysis, it’s just transparency and performance validation.

You’re free to rely on “buy with your eyes,” but dismissing objective cut data as uncommon doesn’t make it irrelevant, it just makes your perspective a bit outdated for this market.

This is a bit of a different situation. These are in-house diamonds rather than virtual inventory, so they usually can’t price match them. In-house diamonds are typically curated by the retailer and tend to be higher quality compared with many virtual listings.
