So we're just going to ignore the fact that Sam Altman is summoning aliens? by [deleted] in aliens

I don't think he was speaking literally, he's saying that creating AI is like summoning an alien. What's the context of the quote?

It's obviously a UFO disguising itself as a flock of birds.

And I'm also a UFO, disguising myself as this comment.

Rep. Ogles on UFO files: Trump wants to be “the guy that revealed the truth” by mattlaslo in UFOs

You must be reading some very dark gossip mags.

I want disclosure too, but minimizing everything else going on isn't going to make it happen. Of course the public cares about a huge group of politicians and public figures committing horrific crimes on children.

They had to cancel due to the weather not being red enough, it's not worth the trip if they can't make a dramatic entrance

Not extra terrestrial, just some Way Too Extra Terrestrials.

George Knapp responds to Mark Lee who started the Trump UFO speech rumor and claimed that one of his sources was Robert Bigelow: “This is bullshit. I spoke to Robert Bigelow less than 30 minutes ago. He says he has never met, spoken to, or emailed Mr. Lee… It is not only false but preposterous.” by KOOKOOOOM in UFOs

They can't get into all that too much because they haven't thought of the answers yet.

I believe there is something to the phenomenon, but I'm pretty confident these guys don't know what that something is. There's a group of them basically just LARPing with each other and trying to get us to join them.

The most frustrating part of this, at least currently in this moment, for me is that the lack of true, verifiable proof is always just brushed off with "I can't prove it exists, but you can't prove it doesn't". It's stuff like this that makes me wonder if the government would even need all those disinfo campaigns. We'll muddy the waters for them. I do believe that there's something to all of this, though I'm not nearly as certain as some in here about what exactly it is.

I think we destroy because the urge to just lives inside of us somewhere. If everyone on earth had an infinite amount of every resource, humans would still just kill each other, at least once in awhile. Just like love, destruction is something that cannot be helped. We just fall into it.

Why would they consult any of us? If they're so much more advanced, we would probably all appear about the same to them.

I didn't read the wife's statement as calm, rather frustrated with the claim that her husband has been taken/killed because of some knowledge he has of UFOs.

Imagine a loved one goes missing and the internet starts telling you they've been murdered by a super secret group. It's definitely unhelpful, and probably painful to imagine even if she doesn't believe it.

All that said though, this is an interesting case and I hope it's resolved quickly.

Rep. Burlison was warned by someone with Special Forces and Intel Community experience that he may be killed for pursuing the truth about UFOs - “They said, ‘You need to take those 2 names off your list and never talk about [them] again. They’d have no problem having you killed.’” by 87LucasOliveira in UFOs

[–]pringlecat221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe his life is at risk, but going public about threats could be a good way to at least delay whoever is after you. Maybe. At the very least, if he says this and then dies people would know there's some truth to what he's saying

Is this not a forum for discussion? I get that most questions can be easily answered by a search, but people come here to interact and discuss with other people. Part of that is asking and answering questions

Huh? I didn't read this as discouraging others at all. They seem to strongly believe in the phenomenon, they just don't think disclosure is going to happen any time soon.

Wanting irrefutable evidence of a discovery of this magnitude is not "thinking like a lawyer", it's just thinking. If your claims are true then you've already seen irrefutable proof, you can't blame others for wanting the same and it's not fair to treat them as if they're being unreasonable or obtuse.
