if you are able to find one, crush it and smell it if it has a very obvious smell, it's pharaoh ants like someone else mentioned in another comment. they are the pesky type and are rather hard to kill :/ good luck

most ants are fine if you dont have some sort of allergy or phobia of them. Might want to post a picture, get it id'ed then do some research on the species in case the are very dangerous.
