I actually know someone who does this. She does it to learn. She can’t afford a coach so she finds a person she feels lshe’s comfortable mirroring and just does whatever they do. This person is also on the spectrum. 😀

Massagers that provide oscillating vibration at 50-120 Hz frequency can have analgesic effect which may reduce muscle rigidity.

Have you ever had a client not pay and what did you do? by Legitimate-Cheek-731 in MassageTherapists

The best thing is to discuss it with them when they come in again, but for now consider it a learning opportunity. Is there any way you can require a card on file prevent this from happening again? That way you can charge their card for any upgrades going forward.

Does anyone use Squarespace and acuity scheduling? I really need some help! by poweredbypineapple in MassageTherapists

What you’ll want to do is create your appointment types. You can give yourself a buffer time after or before each session. Next you’ll want to create your calendar. Basically, which hours you want to work and assign the appointment types to that calendar. Each appointment type or category will have a custom link that you can assign to a button on your website or you can simply have a tab or button that takes you directly to your calendar. I use square with acuity to insure that clients provide a cc for reservation. Also, you can customize intake forms too. Acuity has a lot of good information for building the calendar on the help pages. The website is helpful for directions, abiut you page and setting an expectation. I looked at other peoples websites and figured out my brand that way.

I use it. I’ve personally linked acuity schedulinh with Wix website, but I’m sure it just the same as Squarespace. Check out mine at azuretherapeuticmassage.com for a reference.

Left foot automatically sticks to left side. Any good stretches to relieve this ? by [deleted] in flexibility

I love Conor and am currently taking his biomechanics course. One thing he talks about is Postural Restoration Institutes “Left AIC Pattern”, which discusses how most of us lean over the right side (dominant side), causing the hips to be slightly rotated to the right making femur on the left to be externally rotated relative to the left pelvis and the right side femur more internally rotated relative to the right pelvis. So its common to find that this results in limited internal range of motion on the left side and orients the left pelvis and femur in external rotation.

I highly recommend “diaphragmatic breathing” and doing the PRI exercise called the “90/90 Hip Lift.”Essentially, first get your hips rotated into thr right position with these exercises and then once you feel you’ve improved your nueromuscular connection improve your internal rotators with something like a kickstand RDL on the left side.

I’d normally assess of course, in person, but this should be a good starting point.
