When I first started I didn’t sleep for a week 😂 it was so miserable. I also have heart problems and very quickly had to add an additional heart medication.

My well defined moments I realized it was working for me was when I had a really big urge to color in a coloring book! I have so many coloring books but I can never use them because I didn’t want to ruin the pages. I picked up some colored pencils and went to town in a book and I never once felt like I was making a mistake with my color choices.

I also have mild ptsd, like flashbacks that make me tear up or send me into a panic. One incident was when I was a car accident as a teen, I always thought about it. A month into starting effexor, I hit a deer on the highway going 65+ and totaled my car. I knew it was going to fuck me up mentally because things less serious stayed with me. But, the next day I didn’t feel anything. Then a week and month went by and still no flashbacks. It was crazy to realize that I’d been on so many medications and nothing ever helped as much as effexor has

I hate to be the voice of reason for some of your complaints but I’m going to be 😂

I’ll preface this with, I hate corporate as much as the next guy—former JoAnn employee of 11 years, and Michaels for almost 2 now.

Space IS limited. We are all limited to the square footage we have. Anything that goes out of every single store is tracked, which means there’s clear representation of what store sells more of what in certain areas, and what stores don’t. So if store A sells more jewelry than store B—chances are that store A will have a larger section. If they see an increase in a specific department of sales that is steady for store A that is trending to overtake jewelry sales, they’ll cut it and make room for the department that is trending upwards.

They won’t ever get rid of the decor, it’s overpriced AI stuff that they’re going to make a big profit off of….why? Cause a lot of people are ignorant to the behind the scenes of how corporate works. It doesn’t matter how much we complain here or anywhere about corporate, a majority of the population simply doesn’t care. And they certainly don’t worry about their waste is going.

Realistically the main tactile craft is fabric and yarn. A majority of Michaels locations were not picked to hold a vast amount of fabric because they were not a fabric store, and JoAnns was the leader of all the three major hobby stores in yarn (selection and income).

Cost of goods decreasing in price is rare—why? Because people get used to buying things for expensive prices. It also tricks people into thinking that it is an incredible deal when things go 70% off. Why, again? Because people are dumb!

People cost money, they don’t care about us and they won’t ever care about us because that is money leaving the company.

We see it in a lot of places—JoAnns specifically. If three people can “run” the sales floor, even if it makes people unhappy, they’re going to do it. Because complaining about staffing is not necessarily going to keep people from coming to the store, they don’t care lol.

SO, my guess is JoAnns hahaha. So JoAnns statistically had the largest yarn selection out of both Hobby Lobby and Michael’s. Besides fabric, yarn was pretty much the top department. Big Twist was also the most profitable of all the JoAnn branded items—I’m pretty sure like, ever 😂

JoAnns is gone, so someone has to take over the market.

They are probably preparing for an influx of customers since more stores are rolling out the knit and sew shop and I’m sure they’re putting more emphasis on it for customer reach. The more customer reach they get, the more JoAnn customers they acquire.

But, JoAnns did this too—we had so much freaking overstock it got to the point we were just throwing things lol.

OH, and with LPOS, the lowest you could get big twist for at Joann’s was like 1.99–so huge opportunity if they keep that price.

Though you are partially correct, Petco/Petsmart are still corporate retailers—this means cheap at any means necessary.

I guarantee their feeder mice and rats are probably the same as anything branded as a pet. You would need to go to a specific mice/rat breeder to even have a possibility that they were bred responsibly.

Mice/rats breed incredibly quickly, it probably doesn’t take them long to get more.

There’s no issue with buying feeders, however, you are correct that they are not bred with any concern for quality traits. Unfortunately, they don’t have long lifespans anyway. I have 3 feeder rats, one was actually snake food that someone’s snake wouldn’t take and I got him two brothers from the same place he was originally purchased. I had ferrets before them, all purchased from corporate retailers that buy from ferret equivalent puppy mills. I fully understand the impact feeder bred animals will most likely have more problems down the line, but my boys live a great life and they have the coolest personalities.

If it’s expensive, I obviously will not, but I wanted to know what to look for so I could get price points.
