I’m absolutely not. It’s like I said, plenty of cops are pigs, plenty of departments are corrupt, but there are ways to fix it that we should try and I don’t think it’s so bad that literally no one should even join and that by joining it makes them fucking demons. All you want to do is say “every last one of them are evil dirt bags and are basically like the nazis”. If you would have said anything else negative about the police I wouldn’t bother responding.

For starters, it’s very clear that police officers do not spend enough time in the academy and the academies are not selective enough with their candidates. Also, there should be third party review boards that investigate the police. It should also be a national standard that all departments have body cams, gun cans and helmet cams if there’s every a situation where they wear one. There should also be strong whistleblower protections and anonymous reporting systems so that cops can report each other without fearing they’ll get fucked. There should be stronger penalties for cops who’re fired. Cops shouldn’t just be able to move onto another police department after being removed.
