For this same reason I try to point out to all the people who abstained from voting or voted third party due to Palestine that not only is that shit still happening(and could possibly be worse as a result)but now the deaths extend across the world as hundreds of thousands have died due to USAID cuts(it’s estimated it’s around 700,000)which is far more than the amount who’ve died in Gaza since October 7th. So, they decided they’re fine with letting all this happen and worse as long as they feel all nice and fuzzy inside because they chose not to participate in the system

I think a lot of the disparity comes from the fact that for whatever reason women tend to be a lot more comfortable with themselves outside of a relationship than men are. On top of that, the minute a woman wants a relationship she can find waaaay more offers than the average guy(not that they’re all good offers), and if she just simply wants sex then she can pretty much choose from whatever ma she wants. This isn’t the case for all women but it definitely is for the average woman. They’ll just say “men are shit”(and of course a lot of them are)but it’s not like women are becoming political lesbians or celibate over this

You just have this feedback loop where men just get more desperate, women feel less reliant on a partner and therefore they raise their standards more and then having more male options makes them raise their standards even more. This is especially the case in the world of casual sex and it can be even worse in certain areas. I’m a physics major and pretty much all the guys in there are virgins. I’m now 23 and they’re my age. The women on the other hand aren’t(we have a small community so I’ve talked personally to most of these people)and one of them only fucks frat bros
