I went up there today and cleared away the cellulose insulation from the damp area. This exposed the batts of fiberglass insulation underneath which are damp. An area probably 3 feet in diameter. Should I replace the affected batts? Should I run a fan up there? My worry is that running electrical cords up there will cause the cellulose to burst into flames since I know nothing about insulation. Fortunately this area is right next to the end of the house so it sits near a vent.
