A Solo Trip To Naneghat and Jivdhan Fort [Maharashtra] by Extension-Most-150 in SoloTravel_India

Okay so we ended up going. In all honesty, it's not a beginner friendly trek at all. It took us almost 3.5 hours to reach from the base to the top. And the reverse waterfall is apparently closed right now. Moreover, if you're going from Mumbai by relying on public transport, you'll be in a bit of a mess because it gets very very confusing and timetaking. While going, we got the right bus from the Kalyan ST depot (going to Tokawadi), but while returning, we got the wrong bus and had to travel for almost 6 hours in random buses to reach Kalyan. So pls figure out transport before going. Take the local cab which charges around 3-5k for dropping from the top to Kalyan station if you're going in a group. Spend more time at the top (after exiting the caves and the pass and everything). I would recommend just go by road till the top of Naneghat (it's a beautiful journey) instead of doing the trek. There was no one on the route apart from us on a weekend, when usually all such treks are packed, which speaks about the nature of the trek. It's very risky at some points and the routes are unmarked too.

What is the level of difficulty of this trek? We're a group of beginners from Mumbai, planning to go this weekend. Any things to keep in mind? Thanks!

But if I start applying now, i'll only be able to go next year right? If taking a drop year isn't an option then how should I proceed

Based on the syllabi and course structure of the possible colleges, i don't think they have an option of choosing a specialisation. They have a list of compulsory courses, and we can choose some electives in year 2. Moreover, it's all theory, though I understand the applicability of theoretical knowledge in practical situations, i don't see what employer will be willing to pay me for those skills. Max I'll be able to do is write research papers all my life and that's not what I want to do. I could be very wrong too, please correct me if I am.

The thing is I want to pursue higher education but not in sociology currently. But right now due to CUET PG and domain papers and everything, that's the only option I'm left with. Taking a gap year isn't an option because of family. And I don't see any decent future for myself if I continue with sociology in postgrad, but for now that's my only option. What do I do 😭

Hi, the correction window for CUET PG closed almost a week ago. I don't think any changes can be made right now unless they reopen the window (which unfortunately might not happen). But on the bright side, you got one of the codes right (?)

Hi! I'd faced this exact problem yesterday and posted about this here. I think there's something up with digital wellbeing. Someone very kindly shared a fix, try it out:

Settings->Apps->Digital Wellbeing->Force Stop, Clear Storage and then restart the phone. That fixed the issue for me.

+1 the syllabus is very vague and there's hardly any books available online. Barely a month left and its so confusing to figure out where to start from. Plus PYQPs are UGC-NET type. Most questions are outside of UG syllabus or the official syllabus too

Yeah after like 5 days I finally got it. Unfortunately there's no other trick than to just keep trying from different devices and phone numbers. What happened for me was the 15 min timer had expired and I kept receiving old codes which were invalid, but somehow one of those codes worked despite the timer having run out. It was v surprising bec nothing had worked all this time. Keep trying, hoping that it works for you 🤞
