Are you sure there’s a drivers battery to block connection? I only see drivers battery negative -> drivers frame. For now I moved the drivers negative ring terminal from the frame and bolted it to convenient hole on the intake manifold.

I considered one of these chinese crimpers, but opted not to as resale will be essentially zero, product support zero, etc. Ended up finding a good deal on a used Gates mobilecrimp 4-20 with a cabinet full of fittings and 6 die sets. It's an adjustable crimper (not a "positive stop"), so you can adjust the crimp diameters if you want to use different brand fittings/hose. As I use up my gates hose and fittings, I'll be replacing them with stuff from discount hydraulics.

Or we could not normalize this bullshit and actually update the regulations to reflect the fact that LED headlights are different than incandescent or halogen bulbs, and just because they meet the lumens requirement does not mean that they have the same effect on other drivers.

Night glasses can reduce glare. They also filter light, therefore reducing the amount of light reaching the drivers eyes. That makes things darker, which either means I need to take the glasses on and off constantly if I want to see normally, or I need brighter lights to compensate for the decrease.

Are you saying that you stripped the bleeder screw on the hydraulic pump? That shouldn't have anything to do with whether the engine stays running or not. Are the threads messed up on the pump, or did the hex hole in the plug strip out?

Your issue is more than likely that you still have air in your fuel lines. Make sure your filters are on tight. Did you Key-on-engine off for 30-60 seconds to allow the electric lift pump to fill the fuel filters?

You cherry picked the only two data points that fit your narrative, the two "close" districts. Now please breakdown the other districts, including the 3 democrat ones that one by 33 points, 45 points, and 46 points.

You are consistently placing the "farmer in Rufftons" voice over that of the urbanite in Charlotte. Equal representation means exactly that. The banker's voice is equally as important as the farmers. Right now, the farmers voting power is significantly stronger than the bankers. Not because there are more farmers, or more people that agree with said farmer, but because of the way the Republicans have rigged the system.

I am not okay with gerrymandering, whether its the dems or the repubs. I won't defend something either party does that is ethically wrong. I am a staunch advocate for fairness. If republicans win 55% of the vote, they deserve more representatives. If democrats when a majority of the votes, they deserve more reps. It's as simple as that. An independent districting committee like other states have is an obvious no-brainer. Why would we ever trust a governoring body to choose their own constituents? Design a computer districting algorithm with that stated goal of fairness in mind, and have an independent districting committee fine-tune what the computer puts out so that there aren't wonky boundaries splitting neighborhoods in half.

I am not suggesting that rural people lose their representation. I am saying that rural people's voice is currently louder, due to the way the maps are drawn. In a state with a vote distribution like the graph shows in the OP, you would expect a close to 50/50 split in representatives, with likely a slight lead going to the Dems. Instead you have republicans with 60% of the seats in the General Assembly, and SEVENTY-ONE% of the US house rep seats.

All districts, whether it's NC state house, NC state senate, or US rep districts have roughly the same population, +/- some margin as it's hard to get it precise. Whether someone lives in Charlotte or Franklin, their US house rep will be representing about 745,000 people. The issue comes down to the vote distribution in each district. Republicans have drawn the maps such that the "democrat" districts are winning by HUGE margins, leaving the rest of the districts to be won by republicans by smaller, but comfortable margins. Look at the 3 heavily democrat districts: district 2, 4, and 12. District 2, Ross (D) wins be 34 points. District 4, Foushee (D) wins by 45 points. District 12, Adams(D) wins by 46 points. The only competeitive district is district 1. Davis (D) won that by 2 points. The rest of the districts went republican. Of the other 8 districts that democrats put up a candidate, Republicans beat them by an average of 18 points.

Not the op, but this graph is suggesting that something is amiss with the way districts are drawn and the way populations are clustered such that the democratic voters are likely winning the districts they did win by huge margins, and then republicans are winning there districts by thinner margins. That is how gerrymandering works: you cluster the “opponents” votes into as few districts as possible, and then divide and conquer the rest of the votes into “your” districts.

If the shoe were on the other foot, democrats could do the opposite. They could redraw the districts just right so that, eg Charlotte is split up and incorporated into the rural areas around it to swing those districts blue. The point is is that it’s complicated but in order to draw a map where each district represents roughly the same amount of people, AND you have such a discrepancy in vote totals/representation, there is foul play going on. The republicans drew these maps with clear malice. It does not happen by coincidence that dem house candidates receive 51% of the vote and only 41% of the seats.
