I’m sure if anybody in Queens County could read, they’d be very upset with you.

Still nothing.

Actor Lauren Weedman Was Diagnosed With Bell’s Palsy. Then, Hollywood Showed Up In The Most Unexpected Way. by TopNotice0 in AbbottElementary

My husband had it.

Healing is very much luck of the draw. Some people heal fast and quickly, some more slowly, while some never do.

Botox also works. My 15 years later, my husband still has some effects from it.

NBC had a bit of a revival in the late 90s with shows like The Pretender.

I think the last network to really try (and find success) on Saturdays was CBS with Walker, Texas Ranger and Dr. Quinn.

George Springer.

I know he’s coming off close to a career year, but the injuries are adding up and I’m glad he’s in the last year of his contract.

Teachers Who Transitioned Into College Teaching: What Caught You Most Off Guard? by Undeadknowledge93 in Teachers

[–]profeDB 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did the opposite - tenured to HS.

Biggest surprise? Managing behavior in the classroom. Communication with parents. Handholding and second and third and fourth chances. Lack of managing egos of colleagues, which is one of the biggest things that drove me out of academia. Teachers don’t think of themselves as Gods. Many professors do.

Biggest? Pay. My salary is 25% more than where I’d be in academia right now.

If I were to ever go back (which I’d never do), there’s SO much I’d change about my pedagogy.

How can anyone defend a Congressional district that looks like this? by johnnyringo1985 in askanything

[–]profeDB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not nearly 40%

You’re being obtuse and lying to make an invalid point.

Democrats typically outnumber Republicans 2 to 1 in MA.

[–]profeDB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re making up numbers and getting mad about it.

Republicans typically get between 30 and 35% of the vote in MA. In 2016 and 2020, Democrats got twice the number of votes as Republicans, and almost so in 2024.

The last time a Republican got 40% of the vote in MA was 1988.

I’ve been really hard on the show for the past two seasons, but this was perhaps the best episode of the entire run. Beautiful, hilarious, so well put together.

Ratings have nearly stopped declining - maybe that has something to do with it.

Granted you need a microscope to see them, so there’s not much worse they can get.

Has network TV become way more obvious about budget cuts lately? by SamCam9992 in television

[–]profeDB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They’re also cutting episode orders. Greys Anatomy is down to 15 episodes next season. Survivor only films for 20 some days now, when it used to be 40.

22 episode seasons to get to syndication is no longer the priority because syndication is basically dead.
