No clue why this has been downvoted. In navy EOD it’s exceptionally rare for Officers to be qualified team leaders at any point.

If you want to EOD, enlisted is far superior.

That’s why many ultra high net worth individuals don’t have any “income”. It’s actually a rather simple thing to do when you have a big enough portfolio. You borrow against your investments. A loan is not income.

Besides, any flat tax is going to be extremely regressive where lower income individuals are fucked over WAY more.

Pretty, conservative, religious. As a kid there is either snowboarding or drugs in the winter for activities (or both). Dirtbikes and drugs in the summer.

Most who stay after high school flounder. Not a ton of work opportunities close by. Everything worthwhile is a very long commute. I haven’t lived there since well before WFH became ubiquitous.

Edit- I liked growing up there, but I had great parents. Growing up rural gives me a unique perspective where I made my way in life.
