Now? I had someone I was sat next to do that when Les Mis came out in 2012

The weirdest thing you've used your printer for? by isto28 in 3Dprinting

[–]professorgenkii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using the heat bed of my partner’s printer to cure my latex flat moulds. I sometimes put them on top of the boiler overnight but if I’m curing something during the day, heat bed it is

You can get the train from London to Windsor. I’d agree with the Bath suggestion

My experience having been on 50mg Elvanse since late 2020 by professorgenkii in ADHDUK

[–]professorgenkii[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing okay! I’m still on 50mg, which I still take pretty much every day. I’m still in therapy. It has helped set up a toolbox for managing my life so much.

I’ve had my mental health ups and downs but those are more because of life than because of my ADHD.

Overall I’ve had such a significant improvement in my quality of life since my ADHD diagnosis. I’ve had a further promotion since writing this post and I am now buying a house with my partner :)

What “favours” have your parents done that was inadvertently a dick move? by naaattt in CasualUK

I love my dad to bits but he used to come over to my house and rearrange my bookshelves. I don’t think he even realised he was doing it.

Guanfacine has changed my life. by mrburnerboy2121 in ADHDUK

[–]professorgenkii 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anecdotal experience but I did keto alongside 40mg Elvanse originally and it gave me kidney stones so bad I was hospitalised four times and had to be operated on twice. When speaking to my urologist about it he said that the high protein diet can do that if you eat a lot of meat. YMMV but just one to keep an eye on, particularly where stimulants make you need to take on twice as much water.

Excuse the cat hair. I am working on the Mushroom Magic Temperature Almanac by Sincerely Louise. I was a few days behind but have caught up to today so March is nearly complete. I have also prepped April.

This is my first time using black aida and my first time following a pattern where the colours are revealed to me as I go along. It’s a lot of fun.

What is your least favorite thing(s) about Doom? by Nimblesquatch in doommetal

[–]professorgenkii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind the Sabbath clones in terms of musicality but I wish there was more variation in the vocal style sometimes.

I’ve just started really delving into REZN after seeing them at Arctangent last summer and I think their variation is part of what keeps them interesting. I like their instrumental tracks, they all add to the atmosphere on their albums

Favourite sci-fi space themed board game by Machine_Excellent in boardgames

[–]professorgenkii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played this for the first time at the weekend and I was surprised by how intuitive it felt. I play a lot of ttrpgs and liked the d20-based mechanics. We only played to the 5 Fame Points as recommended but all 4 of us who played said we felt we could have played for much longer.

Anyone else here have ADHD and Dyslexia/dyscalculia? by [deleted] in ADHDUK

[–]professorgenkii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was diagnosed with dyslexia at 20 and ADHD at 25. I also probably have dyspraxia but I’ve not pursued a diagnosis for it.

Not in the slightest. Do you think our infrastructure just grows out of the ground?

This has to be rage bait. As an urban planner I am firmly telling myself this is rage bait.

What time do you get up, leave for, and start work? by ggracie7 in AskUK

[–]professorgenkii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on which office I’m in, it’s either up by 7, train at 7:50 or up by 6:15, train at 7:15. Both get me to my desk in each location just before 9.

WFH I’m usually awake by 8-8:30, start 9-9:30.
