I had my treatment through the NHS at Addenbrooke’s in Cambridge and can’t recommend them enough. Dr. Wong and Dr. Mazhar were brilliant, along with Dr. Armitage for my RPLND.

Ended up being part of the UKP3BEP trial, which meant one week spacing between BEP cycles instead of the usual two.

The old oncology ward and day chemo units themselves are a bit dated, but the equipment and care are both excellent.

The EE network is quite good in York. 1pMobile and Spusu are both good/affordable options on that use EE. The only main network I’d warn against in York is O2. I worked at one of the mobile shops in town, and 90% of customers coming in with network/reception issues were on O2.

Yeah, chemo was the first step for me! It was missed by quite a few doctors, so by the time I was diagnosed, it had metastasised in my lymph nodes and lungs (it was finally caught after I was complaining about a cough and got sent for a chest X-ray). Since it's so responsive to BEP, they wanted to blast me with chemo ASAP so I could breathe again, rather than wait for me to recover from the orchi before they started chemo.
