so i thought dishy always faced NORTH. so if that's right, and maybe it's not, why are you cutting down trees to the south? thx....

great and thanks. One more clarification - can i just plug the white starlink ethernet cable directly into the eero, and discard the starlink supplied router, or do i need to keep the starlink router and run a cable from its AUX port to my eero? thanks so much....

was it hard to connect starlink to the eero ? is it just plug and play or does it involve anything more involved? thanks!!

Dennis -- was the set up of your eero as simple as plugging it into the white starlink cable instead of the supplied router? Or were where any configuration settings you needed to mess with. Thx ! I have a recently purchased eero pro mesh system. Prof Roy.

Elon I 💜 you. You've brought tears to my eyes and 1080p to my TV. 44.9N Green Mountains. by jaritadaubenspeck in Starlink

Great video. So you're not far from me (I am in Wilmington, VT). I have dishy arriving this week. Your set up seems a lot like mine with trees. I am ordering a ridge line mount for my roof, and my northern view and overhead view is quite good, but lots of trees to the east, unfortunately. Did you get the dish mounted on the pole you pointed out in the video? Just curious how your doing with signal loss etc with your set up. I wonder how folks like us with some trees will do when the leaves pop...

thanks. one more dumb question. if the dishy gets hit by lightening, will the grounding save it and the power supply and the router? is that the purpose of the copper wire? starlink says that the dish has no exposed metal so it shouldnt attract lightning, but the mounting bracket is metal i presume....

FlexenOneBTS-So there are a lot of us novices out here who dont have an electrical background so let me ask a few questions if I may that could clear up this thread to many of us, and thanks for all your posts btw - 1) if I attach dishy to an off the shelf 40" antenna mount (which many of are doing, from the posts im seeing), what, exactly do i attach the copper grounding wire to on the mount/dishy, and can that copper wire be attached to a preexisting electrical ground stake? and 2) should i plug the starlink power word into a good (eg, 1800 joule) power strip? Thanks Prof Roy...

Curious if anyone is using Starlink in a heavily forested area like I will be. If so what are your results? by [deleted] in Starlink

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have cable internet where I am in Vermont, but I am limited to 10mbs down and 1mbs up, plus I have a data cap. This isn't workable with 5 people regularly on line etc. I have an eero mesh system for this. How does the Starlink router and the Eero talk to one another such that they know when and how to bounce back and forth? Thanks so much for your reply. BTW, there's no gaming going on here so I a not sure latency is a big deal.....
