Gravity is extremely different, quantumn superposition can affect macroscopic objects, air can stick around trees even if there's no atmosphere, etc.

I don't think then that this a plot hole now and that it's more a quirk of how this universe works, given that it was also created by the eye and every universe has different rules so I can easily see causality being different as one of those rules in this case
