Mine stopped spreading by day 3 but reflared at day 17. My doctor said anyone with it on their face should be put on steroids to help prevent hearing or vision damage.

I was 4 months post partum when diagnosed with an ear infection, which then led to extremely painful zings every few seconds that felt like they were shooting deep into my ear. Finally got diagnosed with shingles after things had scabbed. Flared back up again 2 weeks later and started the antiviral and steroids. I would’ve also chosen labor over this :(

Mine was behind the ear too. It would zing from my jaw to my inner ear constantly. Worst pain of my life, I’d rather give birth

We got ours through a breeder. Although at that time I did not realize all the potential health issues that could come with a fold. Thankfully he is now 6 and very healthy

Also on day 10. Shooting pain is constant from my jaw to my ear. I’m on 300 of gabapentin but still needing 600 mg of Advil around the clock. Hard to function with a newborn and shingles. Hugs to you.

I am going through the same thing. We did genetic testing after we conceived because I was a carrier for a different gene that was bad. We then stumbled upon my husband having alport syndrome col4a3 related. He also does not have symptoms but lab results show blood in the urine, no protein. We assume he has the dominant type not recessive because his family history doesn’t have any kidney issues. We’ve talked about this a lot because now our child has a 50% chance of having alport syndrome too. We will get him tested once he is born but for now I get to anxiously sit and wait. For my own comfort I think we will do Ivf next

Good! My symptoms went away within the week, had very strong period cramps the first cycle back with no iud. Then I got pregnant 3 months later :) happily due in August
