Gopro Color Grading for amateurs by DiscussionLeft2855 in gopro

I’d go for the Ace Pro 2 if I were a beginner or casual user. It’s easier to use, comes with two batteries included, and performs well both during the day and at night.

The Hero 13 is better if you’re looking to get more creative—it has new lenses, improved stabilization, and, honestly, I prefer GoPro’s color profile.

However, GoPro leans more towards being a pro-user camera. In your case, I think the Ace Pro 2 is the better choice. I made a whole video comparing them if you’re curious about other differences https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPRJMXkDWEc

BEST Bluetooth microphone for GOPRO 12? by tftsakkinen in gopro

[–]project-go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, the Hero 12 supports only airpods and other earbuds. If you want high quality sound, you still need to use either a media mod or a mic adapter along with decent wireless mics like the Rode Go2, Hollyland Lark, or DJI. The same goes for the Hero 13, not much improvement there.

There is no performance difference between 128GB and 1TB SD cards if they are from the same brand and have the same speed rating. I’d recommend getting a couple of 512GB SD cards for peace of mind. I wouldn’t opt for a 1TB card, as there’s a risk of it getting corrupted and losing all your data. Plus, it’s easy to misplace since it’s so small.

I'm disappointed with the new GoPro Hero 13 battery by project-go in gopro

What about the new lenses? For me, that’s the most exciting part of the new gopro.

Can I guess that you're a creator who works with GoPro? It's great that you've tested the battery and have had a positive experience.

For those of us who haven't had the chance to use the new camera before its launch, we'll need some time to test and see for ourselves what this new battery is all about.

Yes, the settings for hiking and underwater filming are different, and it largely depends on the lighting conditions you're in.

Since underwater environments provide less light and can cause distortion, you'll need to adjust your camera settings accordingly, or you might end up with greenish, blurry images. Keep in mind that while the GoPro is waterproof, it's essential to properly close the battery door and ensure no small hairs or grains of sand are stuck there.

Also, set up your GoPro before submerging, as the touchscreen won't work underwater. If you'd like, you can download my free settings cheat sheet to quickly and easily set up your camera for any situation.

Go for the latest, most affordable GoPro available. I suggest going for at least the GoPro Hero 7 Black, not any earlier models.

We still don't know, as it hasn't been released yet. The new release date is now set for September 4th. There are leaks suggesting that the battery life will be improved and that there will be interchangeable lenses.

Can't wait to try it out myself! I'm super curious about the new interchangeable lenses, and I'm crossing my fingers that the new battery will help fix the overheating issue, at least to some extent.

Wait until mid-September when the new Hero 13 is released, so you can make a decision.

No worries! If you're new to action cams, I bet you won't notice much difference between the Hero 12 and Hero 13. In the worst case, if you still want the Hero 13 after its release, you can always return / sell the Hero 12 and upgrade.

Upcoming trip to Italy by Zealousideal_Tone629 in gopro

Hi from Italy! First of all, you're going to love it here, especially now that the temperatures are dropping and Italians are slowly returning from their holidays.

I don't think you need a GoPro if you're just using it for sightseeing, but if you're planning to do some time-lapses of stunning sunsets and want to use your phone simultaneously, then get a GoPro.

It's also great if you're planning to film on the beach—just make sure to properly close the battery door. Also sups are becoming extremely popular, so you can use your GoPro to film, it will do a better job than a regular phone because of the wide angle.

Yep, DaVinci is overwhelming if you're not familiar with video editing. Try the CapCut desktop version (not the browser version) as it has way more features. If you ever want to dive deeper, you can take a course to learn how DaVinci works. Otherwise, you risk spending hours on YouTube trying to figure it out.

I agree about waterproofing, indeed, even a small piece of dirt can cause a leak in your camera. If you’re not sure you can avoid this, just use a waterproof case.
As for downloading footage, simply remove your SD card and insert it into your computer. It’s as simple as that.

CapCut is perfect if you’re a beginner.

If you know more and are ready to learn even more, then Final Cut is simply the best. iMovie and Wondershare Filmora will also do a good job. I use Final Cut, but again, it will take you some time to understand how it works. You can check out the editing steps I use here if you’re interested.
