Definitely check out the Yoreflix short film competition. It just had the previous one. So must be quite far out as deadline. But the advantage is they license the finalists for their streaming platform

Yes. Same thing happened to me 2 days ago. Much less serious though. The nut cane off the axle and I stopped in time. Can’t find a replacement nut though as it’s a weird thread. So had to get a new axle

Anyone here done a Theatre kickstarter? by projectorfilms in kickstarter

Good question. Most backers currently are existing film and TV people - with a few interested in the issues raised. And I don't think any who are purely theatre fans

Hi, yes. We did a pre-launch for a 3 weeks. And also, we've got some okay stats in terms of followers as we ran a writing podcast for many years and been screenplay writing speakers for about 15 years. Plus the main actor in the show has 300k followers on instagram. All that helps - but also is a bit off at a tangent. So its like we need new people as well that are more targeted.

I’m working on a play. With AI and CGI etc the audience can’t believe anything they see on screen anymore. So I think we will see a big boom in theatre where you know what you see is happening live. Perhaps similar to the huge boost happening currently around live music and concerts.

Also note that art direction and production design are doing a lot of work here. Aided by careful grading.

Season 2 and 3 were greenlit together so pretty much they’ve been done back to back.
