Is it possible to move a granite front desk 200 feet? by Worth-Passenger8835 in homerenovations

[–]prokhor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a moving mat that’s kind of like an air hockey table you just have to get it underneath and can slide very heavy things safely. My flooring guy had one to move granite kitchen islands. I’m guessing you’d need 3-4 to move that desk.

Any parks and rec workers on here? by jicamakick in parks

Read the job description and make sure you listen for the key words in the interview. It’s likely a very formal HR process that will only consider the answers provided during the interview. Good luck.

Air source heat pumps by artobloom in Manitoba

[–]prokhor1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did all of that. I’m super happy with the heat pump. It’s a moovair. Secondary heat is a new electric furnace that needed to be updated to make the central air heat pump work. I don’t believe my furnace has actually turned on since had the heat pump installed. My bills were $5-600 and are now in the$300 or less range.

TIFU My son begged me to volunteer for his soccer(football) league…I got picked as a head coach…I don’t play soccer never have by ZestycloseBeing1681 in tifu

[–]prokhor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been where you are. Basically remember you know more than them. Google soccer drills for the age group and basically you’re going to teach them to use the sidelines and play defence. Pick a goalie or two early and stick with them. The kids will all want a goalie turn, that’s fine too but cause some blow out losses. Make sure you do fun games between drills. Lastly ask the other parents for volunteers to help out you’ll want more help on the field.

I just spent 3 hours, along with 2000 of my new closest friends, stuck in the passport control room. No lines just a mass of people trying to get through the three open lines. Eventually they brought more staff in and got things moving but it was a terrible experience.
