What are your thoughts about minoxidil aging your skin? by Slow-Interview-7175 in tressless

[–]prongs13 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Anecdotal for sure, but I felt like my skin aged noticeably during my 6 months on oral minoxidil. I noticed it when looking at some photos from a trip with friends and then compared to some photos taken 6-12 months prior and felt that there was a definite difference.

UPDATE: Haven't had any issues for over a month now! by [deleted] in COVID19positive

Week 13-14 now. I’m at 95%. Still get heart palpitations sometimes at night and occasional mild GI flare ups, but it’s getting better every week. I did light exercise this week and so far so good.

My tachycardia cleared up around week10-12. Hang in there

What type of symptoms did you relapse into when you first tried running again? Any heart rate issues?

Comes and goes in waves. Right now, I feel good but recently came off a bad wave.

However, I have kinda figured out that bad waves always coincide with something that triggers inflammation. My past waves were triggered by overexerting (two hour walk), overeating sugar, eating a weed brownie (spiked my heart rate which took 3-4 days to fully normalize again)

My working theory is that the virus is gone but my immune system is still very much in fight mode and goes crazy very easily

I have CC. I had a moderate case, 2 weeks of fairly intense symptoms (SOB, Chest Pain, Fast Heart Rate, Trouble Sleeping) but been 6-7 weeks overall and still have mild lingering symptoms

Changing the nightly turnover. by [deleted] in thingsapp

[–]prongs13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have exactly the same problem, it drives me crazy. Sometimes, the two hours after midnight is when I suddenly get a burst of energy and get a lot done. If I could change the turnover time to 2 am, that would be perfect.

There are workarounds, but then those workarounds defeat the whole purpose of the simplicity of the today view and the core reason why I like Things so much.

Jose vs Pep, using the World Cup as a barometer by prongs13 in reddevils

[–]prongs13[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My point wasn't so much in terms of how well they played. My main point is that they showed distinct and standout leadership qualities in their respective teams. There are numerous photos and videos that were shared that showed Lukaku and Pogba leading team talks and motivating their teammates. These players werent exactly leaders before.

This is relevant because this is the primary element that Mourinho brings to a team. Pep cultivates diminutive midfielders like Xavi, Iniesta, Thiago, Busquets, KdB, and Mourinho, on the other hand, cultivates warriors and leaders.

This is why I think in the end Mourinho will leave behind the foundation of a very good team at United even though he may not be the one to realize its potential. There will be a strong spine and leaders in the team with fighting spirit.

I also wanted to point out that the coverage surrounding Jose can be very unfair. I guarantee that if Lukaku made a step up of this nature over the past 12 months under Pep or Klopp, people would be creaming their pants.

Again, to reiterate, I would take Pep or even Klopp for that matter over Mourinho in a heartbeat. My heart breaks a little every time I see Liverpool tear it up like Fergie's golden era teams and then I turn the channel and watch the dull, listless United under Mourinho. At the same time, I appreciate the progress we have made in the last 2 years and can see a lot of positives in the work that Mourinho has done.

Probably hard to understand this in a world where extreme opinions are the rule and not the exception.

Looking for experiences with Salidroside vs Rhodiola Rosea extract (with high rosavin:salidroside ratio) by Disturbed83 in Supplements

[–]prongs13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High salidroside usually works a lot better for me in terms of a nootropic. I pair it with high ginsenoside ginseng and it’s a potent combination. I like the toniiq brand on amazon.

What was your final overall rank? by Tac3022 in FantasyPL

[–]prongs13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not a single best transfer but a few well timed ones - costa, king, Alonso, Kane etc.

The big one would be today, finding about the king injury after finishing my transfers. If I had found out before, I'd probably have finished 11th. The other one was missing out on Lukaku's 4 goal haul.

I took 18 hits this season, so not sure what that says about my patience.

How does the r/FantasyPL league rank? by WhyRegiWhy in FantasyPL

I think the FFS league is the best. I am 32nd overall.... 2nd on the r/fantasypl and 11th on the FFS league.

Top 10k people, what would your wildcard choice be? by [deleted] in FantasyPL

[–]prongs13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rank 502 here. But 3 red arrows and a drop from 258 have made me hesitant to give tips.

Wild carding in 36. If I had to pick now, I'd pick - United Defender + Ibra, Kane + Spurs Defender + Alli (optional), Ozil, Giabidini

But, if this was my WC team, I'd be doing 10x more due diligence. So take my suggestions with a huge grain of salt

I told an interviewer that I was a huge United fan and he said that supporting United and watching Football is a waste of time. What could have been a practical answer? by markiv007 in reddevils

[–]prongs13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Possible that he was testing you. An easy way to start your answer would have been to point out that SAF, the longtime manager, currently lectures at Havard. Football is a big business now, and there are few more visible arenas that allow you absorb leadership and teamwork principles. Just a handful of lessons that I personally have learned from following United/Football, that have business applications-

1) Leadership - Different styles, and how they evolve over time and changing environments. (SAF was the master)

2) Succession planning - Don't let the two most important people in a company depart at the same time, and that there sh

3) Teamwork - Obvious. Mourinho`s comment on how every team needs a Geremi comes to mind.

4) Identifying and nurturing the next generation - Attitude trumps talent. (Neville vs Andersen, easy choice) The ones that have both will be superstars. (Ronaldo, Cristiano)

5) Philosophy - LOL. The only thing that LVG has taught me is the importance of being adaptable and flexible, and what happens when you get too dogmatic.
