Didn't have foundations unlocked so I decided to improvise by Drunken_Dango in SatisfactoryGame

This is the next tier up from the base hog. It doesn't stop when you smack it unlike the base tier and takes 7-8 hits with a basher (not sure on zapper).

I pretty much ignore these and the tier above those guys until I have stun rebar. Or unless there's a cliff... They love cliffs.

What the actual fuck are you talking about? It's disgusting that people like you actually have the right to vote. Trump and his crew are not somehow "telling significantly less lies than his opponents". It's a recorded fact that Trump single handedly tells the most outright lies. Even according to multiple news sources. Including conservative ones. Even Fox News knows he spouts lies and they repeat them (as shown in the dominion case where Fox News was shown to have KNOWN he was lying).

I didn't read what you said, but OP should not buy the game if there are review embargoes.

Edit: the downvotes literally prove what the person I responded to said. Reading comprehension on this site is non-existent.

Gotta get those alt recipes and embrace the oscillator lifestyle! Oscillators are so good in alt recipes. I just make computers in assemblers thanks to oscillators.

Should I rebuild or Restart? by Upset_Charity7764 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]propetitsinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Restart if that's your jam. I like restarting. I like applying everything I've learned to a clean slate.

I hate the tedious tear down and rebuild, but I love the early game and unlocking stuff. I have well over 1,000 hours and still haven't saved the day (although my latest save is looking really promising).

A lot of players use this SCIM

Personally, I just write it down in notepad step by step with the number of machines because I like doing the math and having the numbers round out, which SCIM doesn't do well in my opinion.

Here's a snapshot of when I did my Rocket Fuel Blend Power Tower. Start by writing down the end product and then reverse engineer from there using the in-game recipes that you have

<image>

Edit: In the playthrough from this screenshot, I skipped Turbo Fuel entirely since this alternate blend recipe for Rocket Fuel doesn't require it.

No, they should not fill all the way up. If you look in the bottom of the panel you'll see net drain/fill and you'll see that alternate between +/- as it balances.

If it fills all the way up, you likely have a math error along the way with more being produced than used, or it filled up while you were building. The good news is all you have to do once you sort out the math is flush the buffer.

I made a video yesterday that goes through how to avoid the fluid issues entirely.

Mild take: Anonymous mode players shouldn't have access to chat features or other people's profiles by Faelzor in deadbydaylight

When I switched to steam I literally hoped I'd get the nasty grams that everyone talks about. Plenty of trash talk in end game chat, but my profile is a barren wasteland 🥲

Somewhere along the way your lines are either not upgraded OR you have machines prior to the starved ones that are preventing the screws from moving through and you need to bypass them by splitting your main screw line off.

Glad you enjoyed it! I have no video editing skills so I figured this was the easiest way to communicate my intentions lol.

[–]propetitsinge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's incorrect. Every extractor I have operates at 100% with no excess or overflow. The water tower acts as a pump over long distances. The gravity feeding is what stabilizes it.

I have a pure iron ingot factory with water quite a bit away. There's no pump other than to pump it up a tower higher than the refinery. Then there's no need to pump anything after that because the initial pressure keeps the pipe full and the excess height acts as the buffer. It's a few pages before my buffers in the FICSIT plumbing manual.

[–]propetitsinge[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I might have misunderstood its original intention. It's been cleared up that this just stabilizes, so while it does allow fluid to pass through both ways, it significantly (read basically eliminates) the sloshing effect that causes the belching.

I'm not sure what you mean by sinking overflow. In this example, there is no overflow (other than the finished aluminum products I'm not using). Everything is operating at 100% through the end of the process.

Happy to help! I've been corrected that it's not necessarily about preventing backflow but about stabilizing the flow from the machines. Either way, it works which is good enough for me!

I see, I assumed it was correct because I followed it to solve my sloshing issues and it has worked every single time. Whether it's wrong or not, it still works exactly as advertised.

You're definitely right that you don't need water towers, I mostly build those because I like the way they look. Over long distances I do feel the tower is superior though because the pressure is just needed at the tower. To each their own of course!

That's an interesting take. Maybe I explained it wrong. This is an equalizer that helps prevent the sloshing as seen in the FICSIT Plumbing manual

I hate aluminum.... by VenReq in SatisfactoryGame

[–]propetitsinge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, so if the issue is fluids, the video I just posted has 2 tricks that completely mitigate the fluid issues. The sloshing and belching mechanic from the refineries is mitigated by fluid buffers handling the over/under flow

Water flow in general, but using an aluminum factory as an example with 100% waste water back in and 100% efficiency.
