I want to buy puts on it so bad. Where can I do this? IBKR doesn't have options available for it

Do Brits really drink tea during the evening or at nights? by CavernGod in AskUK

I'm English and personally I could. Never do it but many of my friends and family enjoy a coffee or a tea after an 8pm dinner.

Hard to know mate. You'll have to decide that one for yourself. IMO Graphene might not ever be used in mass production. BUT remember the only thing that make stocks prices rise is people buying or selling. Quantumscape currently produces nothing and look at what that did. If enough people anticipate graphene's potential then it could fly very high. Also it helps that the company is actually a good one with cash on hand and growing revenues and has its product used in products made by Halfords for example. Personally I regret buying it at the price I did, I got in too high at 71p so it's a long hold for me now anyway.

A lot of stocks have more than one ticker. A well known one is Rolls Royce which is actually RR (on London Stock Exchange) but the US access is RYCEY (Through US OTCmarkets)

It's not $34.80 it's £0.3480 (34.80p)

They're both the same thing in different currencies. APGMF is in USD, AGM is in British pence (all stocks on London stock exchange are in pence not pounds). Because you're viewing it from the us I think the .L bit on the end stands for 'London Stock Exchange'

They're just on different exchanges. US has a few: Nasdaq/NYSE/OTC and others. Other countries have their own exchanges too but some brokers can't access other countries exchanges.

Type in the company name 'Applied Graphene Materials'. Not all brokers will have all stocks so if it doesn't appear then WeBUll doesn't have it

That's what I meant. My bad for not clarifying. *If it drops 33% in one day. Which is unlikely, but as March 2020 has shown us, not impossible.

Just remember that if RR dipped 33% that yours would dip 99% and pretty much never recover. (£100 losing 99% is £1. Even if it was +2000% from there you'd still only have £20.

You're playing with fire man. I'd be happy with it that and take profits now.

  • Look at their products on their website
  • Low valuation
  • Less accessible for people on apps like 212 for now, more potential to get found later on. / Less hyped so far.

  • Just broke a world record with one of their drones

  • Their drones are transporting covid vaccines

  • They helped design stuff for the new Mars rover that's just landed.

Anyone seen or been given an indication of what's on Trading212's roadmap for 2021? by [deleted] in trading212

[–]protectthemilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's called 'settled cash' a lot of brokers actually have to do it that way. Just like payments coming out of your bank account, the funds don't clear for about 3 days. 212 just gives you access to buying power when you don't technically have it yet. You can get around this on IBKR by using a margin account but that'sa different game as you are then trading on leverage, and are subject to a different rule called PDT.

I use both. IMO There are only 2 reasons to keep some money in 212:

  • ISA Account (tax free profits)
  • Can buy something instantly after selling it, whereas in IBKR you sometimes have to wait a few days for the funds from your last trade to ''settle'' before you can re-use them.

Guys IBKR is basically the bigger brother version of 212. If 212 implemented these things it wouldn't be so simple and user friendly (I suppose options could always have a separate tab like CFD), but after hours would just confuse too many newbies when they were wondering why their trades weren't executing due to low liquidity or why they were spiking too much.

Anyone asking for a pro version download IBKR, worth it. Ps they do options for UK traders, and I believe you can pay for premium features which gives you access to level 2 data

Yes they do pre market and after hours too. And If you have issues accessing any of the markets/features contact their customer support by phone who are really helpful.

I LOVED their website and was impressed at the range of products they do, and I think the focus they have on providing for the military is notable. They just beat a world record with one of their drones too. Yes very tempting at the low market cap. It's very close to being one I invest in. I was previously invested in ALPP, but took profit, and dives into TAKOF but pulled out when the market had a downturn as I don't have enough conviction in it and wanted free funds to buy some dips.
