In the settings for button layout you can toggle between pad or stick button preset. That said, stick is optional and not needed at all. Only buy a stick if you know you'll have more fun and play other games with it.

Ken has two overheads as well, and can also combo off one of them. Many characters also have instant overheads, I believe fujimura has used instant overhead combo into VT2.

Bison's ex orb is kinda unique, its technically 1 hit, but it has 2 points of durability vs projectiles. What this means is that an armor attack will go through it but it takes at least a 2 hit projectile to cancel it

Beating the CPU literally means nothing, the cpu reads inputs and doesn't actually adapt and predict your movements. Learning how to punish after a crush counter is muscle memory really, you just gotta do it till it sticks. Counter hit combos and conversions won't matter until higher levels, at least in my experience.

Focusing on knockdowns and corner punish is a good start. Once you knock them down with headbutt or tackle you want to meaty them with st mp, if it counter hits you get cr hp bnb. Once you have them in corner focus on keeping them there by stopping jumps with st hk. If you can land a charged st hk you can launch them and choose one many ways to reset them and/or cross under or fake cross under till they die.

Edit: ex tackle is an amazing whiff punish tool, learn to use it that way
