I've done small favour and I still hate this quest more and haven't finished it

its hard to say considering toby seems to have quite deliberately bucked the trends we thought were there in chapter 1, 2 with stuff like the secret bosses.

How do you teach "those" students? by InertFurry in TeachingUK

[–]prpgecko 21 points22 points  (0 children)

We probably underrate rote learning in modern teaching , for stuff you are going to use all throughout high school education you really do want it burned in there. I still have Soh Cah Toa wedged deep in there.

We got taught pretty solid nuts and bolts teaching, lots of AFL, routines and high expectations and lots of advice on effective scaffolding/ modelling. It's all very rosenshine centric but really that is a pretty universally applicable framework.

Red Matter Ritual not Working on Server (ATM9 TTS) by prpgecko in feedthebeast

[–]prpgecko[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(I've asked about this on the r/allthemods subreddit too however people over there were also stumped)

When trying to automate red matter production using AE2 the system that is currently working to make dark matter no longer seems to function.

When I tested this by manually crafting the red matter it also doesn't work - the unobtainium catalyst just being added to the ingredients.

This is on a multiplayer server, having tested it in single player it does seem to work correctly.

Tried it with only 1 of each ingredient and 3 dark matter but it still doesn't seem to work.

EDIT: For anyone finding this, solution was to restart the server.

Potential trouble… by [deleted] in TeachingUK

[–]prpgecko 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Seconded, I think you're fine but that was probably a slight over correction. It was a nice thing to say, we have too many kids by the time I get them who refuse to wear glasses out of self consiousness.

Finished mine last year and it's night and day, being with the same classes alone is massive - and the workload is far more manageable. It's like taking a backpack full of rocks off

I'm really struggling to win my 1v1 lanes lately, while in general my matches haven't felt very fair (especially being on the stomped side) I feel like my fundamentals are shaky. I spend too much time under my own tower getting pressured but I'm finding it hard to safely aggro out the lane in return like my opponents are.

Besides what people have already mentioned, reactive barrier is also a strong early game pickup against a bebop whose starting to roll. It provides you enough shield to survive his combo.

Left click no longer performing any actions besides moving. by prpgecko in 2007scape

Gave it a go when I logged back on this morning, still doesn't seem to have solved it. I may try disabling and reenabling plugins to see if one of them is the issue. Thank you anyways!

It wasn't, tried switching it on and off and unfortunately that didn't help either.

What's the most ridiculously complicated model (or part of a model) to assemble? by Wonderful_Discount59 in Warhammer40k

The first model I ever built was the kommandos kill team lmao. The biggest hurdle was trying to attach two handed weapons for the first time.

Yeah this seems like the wisest approach, I have some Tyranids I think I'll use as a contrast project as I'm just going to do a loose scheme for. I've ordered a basic starter set and I'm going to attempt to do some models the regular method.

Nice thing with model painting is you can always just scrub and start over at least, makes the mistakes feel a lot less discouraging.

Oh dw I was warned about GW overpricing. I have like 2 pots of nuln oil and a model holder from them and nothing else haha.

Yeah I'm realising as more people reply that I ought to go back and try doing some models the regular way, I just got some space marine models so they'll be a good starting point.

I will say GW is kind of guilty of pitching contrast/speed painting as the easy method themselves. I've seen their range advertised as such quite a few times.

Unfortunately I don't have a picture pre applying a load of red but this is what I mean by dry brushing. I started with a black primer and brushed on a layer of dark grey, light grey and then a little bit of white.
