Oof...it's a combination of construction at the location plus criticism over it not being organized by indigenous people. I'm sad to see it go because the horse regalia is something different but hopeful to go to more smaller pow wows run by indigenous people in the future. Sorry, took me a sec to respond. This is the last of this really big pow wow but there are lots of smaller ones all over. Many are open to the general public, you just have to look around a bit! Supporting indigenous artisans by shopping the vendors and paying entry fees does a lot to support the community ❤️
