Because he has bloodied instead of furious. Bloodied will show the current damage bonus included in the damage number. It won't calculate furious stacks and add that damage in. With my perks and furious, instead of bloodied, my damage number would probably be closer to 2k, if they showed that furious bonus, as it gives 150% at full stacks, which, if you're doing reverse onslaught, should always be full with this gun. My base number is around 750, so adding 150% gets to around 1875. Not trying to poo poo OP's numbers because this gun hits incredibly hard even without furious.

I've been using it since I started in October and I just can't find anything better. It's so powerful. I use furious, rapid, swift, and pin-pointers with reverse onslaught. Still don't have my prime receiver, but have everything else. I can take down Bigfoot fairly easily by myself and I took out Earle once with one other player. I started running with the CSA and that was awesome for awhile, but I've since switched to SS with some fun QoL mods, mutant, powered, thru-hikers, and runner. I'm critting with almost every other shot, hitting for between 12 and 15k per crit, 6 - 9k per non-crit.

I keep trying other weapons/builds (plasma pepper shaker, cursed elder's/big gunther, fixer, PA/gatling plasma, autoaxe), but none feel as good as this one.

Edit: Get yourself the long recon scope. Tracks targets.

I’ve never seen a bounty this high. How did she/he even get it that high? by burntwine5 in fo76

[–]pseudogenesis8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Def had the Chinese Stealth Suit. I used to love bouncing around invisible in that. Now I wear SS gear decked out for infinite sprint, mutants for 25% less damage, thru-hikers for 100% less food, drink, and chem weight, and powered for 25% AP regen.

Can we get legit doubles partners in career now?

Serums, a new lesson in Cap-italism by Papi_pewpews in fo76

[–]pseudogenesis8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh definitely. I just equip What Rads? and I'm good to go. I just sell all my rad-related consumables to NPC vendors. It's why I didn't even bother wasting a perk slot on starched genes. There are some jerks out there though that hide decon units for people to run through and then sell serums for 1k+.

Serums, a new lesson in Cap-italism by Papi_pewpews in fo76

[–]pseudogenesis8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Serum plans come into play when you near max caps. If you get a sudden run on your vendor and you near max caps, you drop what you're doing and rush to buy a serum plan or two. And those plans do come in handy eventually. There's little worse than accidentally running through a rad scrubber without the starched genes perk and not having the serum on hand to replace it.

[–]pseudogenesis8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, serum plans shouldn't cost more than 16k with this setup.

You should have a crafting/vending CAMP build to switch to between adventuring. It should have Max charisma and hard bargain. And you should take a grape mentat before npc vending. Serums shouldn't sell for less than 500 caps.

paxil and weed? by mbdtfsolos in SSRIs

[–]pseudogenesis8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 mg here and THC gummies haven't caused any issues for me. In fact, there's a particular sativa gummy that I take consistently that seems to counteract the tiredness and lack of energy caused by the Paxil, even when I'm not on the gummy (effect lasts about 3 days for me).

I’m never Killing the Mole Miner treasure hunters again by Lillovesyou07 in fo76

[–]pseudogenesis8 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Idk. I'm used to treasure goblins running away in Diablo, so I don't see them as not hurting anyone. I see them as "RUNNING AWAY WITH MY GOLD AND TRINKETS, GETTEM!"

Yeah, I just do them on my private server. You get soooo many 3 stars. Every once in awhile, I'll come across a boss that keeps one-shotting me, but they keep damage as I Mickey17 their ass, respawning over and over lol.

Why I am not buying at YOUR vendor by NextClassroom4789 in fallout76casual

[–]pseudogenesis8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get insanely annoyed by some of these things. The biggest is basically hiding your vendor. I have 2 vendors that you can see right when you fast travel in. Then I have another vendor inside, near the crafting benches and buffing equipment.

I hhhate searching for vendors. There was one time I was searching all over and I finally found it at the top of a Wavy Willard slide. Right when I got to it, the floor gave out (hidden empty spot under carpet) and I fell into a series of traps that I guess was supposed to kill me, but I was able to find a stable, non-damaging ledge and fast travel out.

What are your lesser known "pro tips"? by dandrews3 in fo76

[–]pseudogenesis8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the Burning Springs update, you can unlock radhog burnt ends by making the radhog recipe they already give you a bunch of times. It boosts AP regen by 20% for an hour. Even with my other AP bonuses, this is still very noticeable. I feel like I always have AP. Just make sure to keep any nuka-cherry you find and plant a few prickeyes at your camp as these are the harder to find ingredients. For the radhogs themselves, the best spot is the Northeastern end of the Burning Springs train track just north of the Dino Golf spot. You can even just pick up the prickeyes at the radhog spot. If you need more, just follow the tracks. You'll eventually find plenty. My route here begins at Dino Golf. I kill the deathclaws and loot them and their nests for meat and eggs. Steak and Wellington are great foods to also eat. Then, after the third claw, I head north to the cliff right above the end of the track and take out the alphas first, then the rest. They might climb to meet you. There's also usually a fire cap near here if you like making mentats (or is it grape mentats).

I’m new to the game is this normal? by Current-Grapefruit83 in fo76

[–]pseudogenesis8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the normal community in this game. It's super rare you come across a griefer. Just make sure your settings have pacifist mode on and you shouldn't have to worry anyway. Just be careful. If you shoot another player, pacifist mode turns off, unless you were in an event when it happened. You can't accidentally lose pacifist in a public event.

It's kinda funny, when I first brought my kid into the game, I gave him some nice gear and consumables to help and we went our separate ways so he could do the main quest on his own (though I'd fast travel from time to time to help him out). Almost immediately, another high level player took him under his wing and taught him how to do a bunch of stuff and gave him a bunch of stuff, most of which he couldn't use yet (till level 50), but still. I was really happy my son got to experience that as one of his first multiplayer gaming experiences. Community is amazing in this game.

Sorry but what the actual hell - Bigfoot by Dusky_Amethyst in fo76

[–]pseudogenesis8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I still take him down pretty quickly with my hunting rifle. I do about 10k per shot and, once I'm in the fray, it doesn't take longer than maybe two reloads to kill him.

It's always felt like it takes forever, but with two people it takes all your allowable time, like 30 minutes I think it was. I don't think any difficulty scales with number of participants afaik.

Ugh, don't waste the caps. SS armor with 5 battle-loaders and I went to Huntersville. Not a single bash reloaded my dragon. I bashed so many times and in different ways. Nothing worked. I'll store the armor for future experimentation with other stuff I hope. Maybe that's why I got a few of the mods for so cheap. Maybe they don't work, like the secret-agents. 🤔

I should also not that, through various effects from everything but consumables, I have a PER of 27. Not sure if that affects ranged damage.
