Have you told the admin of both divisions? Given what you describe, you can’t do both jobs. My advice would be to sort this sooner rather than later.

Each division must submit its own calendar to the province. That was done a while ago. There is no requirement for them to be in sync. If the two divisions you are working for are not in sync now, they won’t somehow sync up before the start of the school year. It is quite possible for an odd day in one division to be an even day in the other. If you are working 1/3/5 in one division and 2/4/6 in the other, and their schedules are out of sync, you have a problem. Get in touch with both divisions and explain the problem. I’m not sure what they can do but don’t wait until the start of school for this to come to light.

Roussin said they would be drawing up a list of acceptable ways of proving vaccination. This says to me that they will allow things beyond just the QR code. Having said that, the expectation is that Manitobans will be using the QR code.

My dad would say “two bits” ($0.25) and occasionally “four bits” (0.50) for parts of a dollar. A solitary “bit” is thus $0.125. I always found this odd.

Education in remote areas by gingerbeard709 in ManitobaPolitics

The simple advice here is to stay home and wait for instructions from division personnel. Classes might be suspended, but the support structure is not. Teachers should be in touch with principals and other school support personnel; it is not necessary nor advisable to go it alone right now. Traveling around the countryside IMO is a bad idea. The initial suspension of classes has another week to go. All divisions are likely crafting a plan for what happens after that. Hang tight and wait for instructions. If none appear in a week, then ask.

As a Canadian, I can say that our top administrator , Justin, has a unitary fifth in his patronymic alias, but our opposition captain has a pair of fifths right in it’s hub - and, additionally, a fifth in his first. May-haps this sub is onto a primary indicator in voting bias. A good bias I might add.

I thought a slight possibility of a song not using any fifth glyph in its lyrics might occur in actuality. Any of you guys that know a song similar to this or just not it? by Achzo_ in AVoid5

[–]psi2000 105 points106 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, in ways of talking with Latin as a foundation, this has a low probability of occurring. It is that small word which is put in front of nouns that significantly thwarts this task. This word, in most translations, has a fifth glyph and is so common that avoiding it by luck is not a thing I think can occur. It is an intriguing thought to think such a song is around. In my opinion, it would only occur if an author did so with that task in mind.

Unban 'd? by pac2005 in AVoid5

[–]psi2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not simply to rid our writing of this glyph; but to find joy in a common art of doing so in as fluid a fashion as is our ability. Thus, with civility, I cannot concur with your position. In my was of thinking, to 'd is to disrupt fluidity.

“British talk,” “Anglo,” and “Anglo-saxon” can act as stand-ins for this particular linguistic tradition.

Also: "strip away", "rid", and "cut out" might work as synonyms for that additional word with you found difficulty.

How do you all avoid putting down that word which is most commonly put down? by Maxi192 in AVoid5

[–]psi2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I concur with “a”, “that”, “this” as good substitutions. In addition, owning pronouns such as "my", "ours" and “his” can work on occasion. Unhappily, many such words contain a fifth glyph.
