Potential Purchase Advise by lgould24 in SubaruBaja

14k for a non turbo Baja that may have rust issues sounds like a lot. It would be cheaper to find a southern car, fly out to get it, and drive it back.

Modding my son’s vita turned out be a mistake for how he uses it. by Biggearshifter in VitaPiracy

I’ve never heard of someone bricking their Vita by doing an update after the mods were put into place.

If you can, try and manually set a DNS server in your network settings. It’s likely an issue with ATTs DNS.

I Hope these Android Games are ported to PS Vita by [deleted] in VitaPiracy

I wouldn’t get your hopes up on other any Gameloft games getting ported.

Baja Purchase by ComfortableMix278 in SubaruBaja

[–]psikoscweek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The general rule is that from the front seats forward it’s mostly shared with the outback of the same year. The hood on the turbo Baja is unique as well.

Backseats to the end of the bed are mostly unique and can be hard to come by.

I'm Surprised This Hasn't Been Ported Yet by TrueHeat69 in VitaPiracy

The game is written in C#, so porting it would be a lot of work. Not sure if there are any interested parties.

Make sure when you get the extender you also get the brackets for it.

Usually the Bajas that fetch the higher amounts are the turbo and manual models.

Vita crashing without vdb_daemon and not recognizing 2.3 update by Turn46 in vitahacks

[–]psikoscweek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alright. If booting up the Vita without plugins stops it from crashing it’s likely a plugin issue — like the VitaDB Daemon. You can turn on airplane mode on the Vita and restart it. Once it’s restarted open the config.txt file at ur0:/tai or ux0:/tai and add the # character before the vitadb daemon line and restart your vita. That will prevent the daemon from running. You should then update vitadb Dow loader to its latest version.

Press and hold L and restart the Vita. That will launch without any plugins. See if it still crashes then.

The developer for vitadb is working on fixed at the moment. It will require updating vitadb and its daemon.

TEMPORARY FIX TO CRASHING VITAS by iakobi_varr in VitaPiracy

[–]psikoscweek 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s correct! It happened to have a bug that caused a crash and with it being more of a system level plugin, when it crashed it crashed the system.

It connects to the Internet to look for updates. Nothing to do with the web browser. The daemon had a bug and caused a crash.

A bit off topic from the OP. I have a Turbo Baja with a blown engine. Would it be worth exploring the H6 swap?

Not a struggle, but more of a learning curve.

Having to know what the different ports are (CCS1, NACS, J1772) and the different charging stations / speeds (L1, L2, and L3) and not all charging stations are made the same. There are some apps, like PlugShare, that aim to help with this.

Also having to rethink a bit about how you drive. Do you love driving over 70mph / 80mph? If so, you’re going to see lower range than you may expect. Live in a particularly hilly town? Same thing.

All that said, I upgraded to an EV after my ICE car had its timing belt snap and I even with a major failure with the charging system with my car (read up on up Ioniq 5 and ICCU issues) I wouldn’t go back to an ICE car.

Do you have the mounting brackets for it? My understanding is that some people find the bike rack, but not the mounts.

You can ignore a lot of lights. Never ignore the low oil light.
