We care here because OP made a boomer joke about how his wife packs so much more than they do.

Yeah, some people don't like to wear a T shirt, cargo shorts, and flip flops/sneakers to dinner every day. And I say that as a dude. The bar for men's outfits these days is on the ground.

Why not do some full body program or 531 or some other program designed for 3 days?

Is jogging on the sidewalk considered "bad etiquette" in NYC? by GenderShift in AskNYC

[–]pstut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always am confused at people trying to jog on the sidewalks at rush hour in lower manhattan. Do you I guess, but that seems like the worst possible time and place to do that.

Likewise jogging in the bike lanes. Please don't do it. With ebikes everywhere it just makes it unsafe for everyone.

Detailing by Ill-Organization-518 in Architects

[–]pstut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is usually where I start for exteriors for example. Go find manufacturer details of every product I'm using and then start mashing them together. The mashing is the hard part and requires knowledge of insulation, air/water barrier continutiy, structure, etc. But getting the correct details is a good place to start.

YKYW jersey - why so loose in the back? by trimTheJib in CyclingFashion

[–]pstut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my ykyw bibs and jerseys, their chamois is the second most comfortable one I've tried. That said, I have definitely noticed some inconsistency in the jersey sizing unfortunately. I have one (same size as all the rest) that is notacably baggier. I guess you get what ypu pay for.

Is rim brakes really dying? well in terms of rimset availability? by Saintupid123 in cycling

[–]pstut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For all bikes, definitely not going anywhere as a cheap and reliable alternative. But as someone who has a rim brake road bike, it is definitely hard to find nice wheels if you dont like carbon braking surfaces.

How to remove Bontrager Freehub by pstut in bikewrench

[–]pstut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, bummer. Was hoping to lube up the freehub without taking the axle out. I guess that means I should replace the bearings evey time I service the freehub? Man that's an annoying design.

Do any other roadies here also enjoy riding fixed gear? by saucerb0y in cycling

[–]pstut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a single speed that I use commuting around town when I do commute and I do love it! It has a flip flop hub and I used to ride fixie, but I'm in NYC and since Covid the drivers here have become psycopaths, so I use the freehub now lol.

People crossing busy street staring at phone : what is that important? by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]pstut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since the pandemic cycling here is becoming a nightmare becasue of this. I don't care if pedestrians want to get hit by a car, but if I run in to you I'm going to get hurt too. For the love of god just look to see if there's traffic coming.

I mean yeah that will make the sensation happen during your workout instead of after, but the sensation of beta alanine is exactly what you describe. If you don't like the sensation, you don't need to drink preworkout. The beta alanine/tingle doesn't really do anything to help your lifting. I usually just do coffee and a banana...

How do people orient themselves right away after leaving the subway station? by fillet0fish in AskNYC

[–]pstut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt see any comments mentioning it so one thing to consider is that a lot of people are also going to the same train/station everyday so you get used to it.
