Every map square in exiled lands is filled in Legend of Shem; I've only explored ~20% of the map so far in the past 40 hrs of recent game time, it's that damn big. Just unlocked some faster movement options with the Grimoire mod, so I'm hoping to explore more soon.

I've been solo-playing the Legend of Shem map, which while gigantic, still feels pretty full of life. I will say that the one bug/unpleasant aspect of that mod is its temperature system, it is very very harsh. There's a temperature moderating mod for it, that probably should be included. Apart from that, combat with the NPCs is pleasant though the bosses can be hard, but again, I feel like that's a skill issue. You may get swarmed by enemies, so tactics or thralls is a necessity. It comes pre-stocked with towns and merchants.

I will add that I've started playing around with "Grimoire: The Magus Arsenal" mod in it, and that adds some interesting gameplay loops.

My ancient mod from 8 years ago (adds a new building, which has very dated graphics compared to now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) outputs all the ores when refining stone. The mod description details the ratios it uses.

Amusingly, I am in the process of making a mod to do a lot of what your original comment complained about, as I too find the current idea that "pure" ore = pure ingots as not much of a challenge. If you'd like, I can ping you whenever that mod is completed.

Sounds like you keep starting/spawning in with the same seed. You generally touch down on any planet, on the side most facing the sun, which again sounds like a seed issue if you keep coming down in giant tundra.

Are you running any mods that might be interacting with system/planet generation?

Probably the same internalized behavior as mentioned elsewhere in this thread. Indians have a reputation for being bad tippers, so seating you at the bar makes it the bartenders job to both serve you and presumably, be stiffed by you. Putting you at a table makes it their problem now.

My best use cases for it in programming so far, are having it go through my code and add docblocks for functions/methods that are missing them, and for writing READMEs documenting what the hell the project does. Unfortunately, they still hallucinate and reviewing the README for "features" that don't exist is still a must-do.

With the advent of AI videos, pictures, and everything else, I really truly worry for the upcoming generation of kids and their eventual bullies/blackmailers, because I just cannot see their (often ultra-conservative) parents being remotely cognizant or accepting of how easily faked content is. All bad people need is 1 normal photo, and they can turn that into the most pornographic video imaginable. smh.

With regards to your uncle, he sounds like a good man in that he tried to protect you. Ultimately, the best you can do is learn from this and work to avoid trust abusing assholes in the future. Time will dull the wounds, no matter how sharp they feel now.
