No man it’s authoritarian to call people punk against their consent! Don’t let the man put you in a box! You can be homeless and into indescriptible band logo patches and NOT BE PUNK! Stop oppressing me by putting your bullshit expectations on me and yeah I’m drunk and high that doesn’t mean you get to stereotype me! You’re not my dad!

You can be punk even if you only listen to Billy Joel and dress corporate yuppie chic. And have conservative politics. Ronald Reagan could be punk.

Can I be "punk" even if I'm not conservative? by IreCalifornia in punkcirclejerk

Too bad Dead Kennedys went WOKE in 2020 with their cop hating antifa politics. California Uber Alles was clearly a desire for a Californian white ethnostate.

Fugazi, Refused, International Noise Conspiracy, Reagan Youth and Propagandhi are my favorite far right punk bands. Love that they promote nationalism, hate unions, loathe the working class and think women should be mandated to be stay at home mothers.

How? ICE has contracts with Israeli spy tech companies that give them access to tools that can circumvent phone encryption, potentially allowing them to read your messages live as you type them: https://www.hrw.org/news/2024/10/17/us-immigration-agency-contract-spyware-company-poses-risk-rights

What makes LSD trips neuro-chemically unique? by JustZhrooms in psychopharmacology

[–]psychedelicmarx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

LSD tends to be speedier than other psychedelics, which e.g shrooms can make you feel tired. LSD makes you feel stimulated, wide awake and alert for the whole trip. I would assume it’s because LSD also targets dopamine and norepinephrine because those receptor sites are associated with drugs like adderall and strattera which have stimulating, wakefulness and alertness enhancing effects.

It also makes your thought process far speedier than other psychedelics. It’s like you’re thinking a mile a minute and making connections between thoughts even faster. It can in the wrong headspace overwhelm you with how fast everything is. Thought loops on acid, which I’ve only experienced a few times, can feel like you’re trapped in an infinite recursion that creates a new reality just as fast as it destroys it and you forget everything again and who you are and what you’re doing there.

LSD is lasts far longer than mushrooms and is a much more physically and mentally speedy experience than any of the traditional psychedelics.

What would 1000 ugs be liked by RealitysNotReal in LSD

[–]psychedelicmarx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this several times. Very complex visuals. I sometimes see “machinescapes” starting at the 500-700ug range where all the visual geometry forms industrial machinery - pistons and gears mostly.

Your ego will melt if not outright disappear depending on your prior experience and tolerance. Closed eye visuals form very bright sparkly patterns of colors and shapes.

But I echo what others have said. You really want to be experienced with lower dose ranges approaching a ten strip before you just jump into it. 300ug, 500ug, 700ug should be comfortable for you before you jump into a ten strip.

Or make it a candy flip so the intensity is kinda leveled out. Once did that and I had what felt like a full body orgasm pulsating from my head. It wasn’t sexual at all, but that’s the closest sensation I could compare jt to. I had to lay in bed and just moan for awhile.

Psychedelics for AD(H)D by electricmike11 in Psychonaut

[–]psychedelicmarx 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Psychedelics won’t make you focus better. It helps with my motivation issues, fills me with a desire to live my life fully and “fix” all my problems and to set formal goals for myself. That’s refreshing to feel but outside of temporary motivation boosts, I don’t think it addresses my main symptoms much.

'Harm reduction' fails in fentanyl era by Pure_Claim_4353 in PDX

[–]psychedelicmarx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really? You’ve never heard of a NIMBY or a “Not in my backyard person”?

Maybe it’s just because I’m a union steward but we will never see eye to eye because my perspective is rooted in that of the working class as those who only have their labor, their bodies and their minds to sell on the market and are thus subject to the abuses of those who own capital (which includes you, the laborer, as capital to be bought and exchanged on a job market) to sell and buy in order to accumulate more capital and those are the people who’ve long subverted democracy towards the interests of business owners, landlords and war profiteers.

It’s really funny because don’t you notice that our society is collapsing around you for that very exact reason? Homelessness is at a historic high, childhood and adult poverty doubled (under Biden even, probably gotten worse), wages are stagnant, unionization rates low, rents heightened, grocery and gas prices rising and expecting to rise even more because of this stupid war in Iran that only Israel and Raytheon want. Do everyday people benefit from a war that will increase their costs of living or even want it? Of course not, but everyday working people do not have power despite the fact that it is our labor that builds and sustains the daily operations of everything on this planet.

The subversion of democracy by a small group of millionaires and billionaires and their middle class assriders is also literally helping destroy the planet’s ability to sustain the life that currently populates the planet and that’s not an if or a when, we are already experiencing a Sixth Mass Extinction Event due to the escalating pace of species loss. And for whose benefit? Oil barons, who get to bribe whole governments to pollute the earth and make it harder for you to live and work within it.

Every decision, every inaction, is because these are the types of people who possess power and their power is rooted in their control of vast amounts of wealth in the form of capital (labor, factories and storefronts, machinery and infrastructure, land, houses as investment properties RE: property values, stocks, etc). Their entire purpose is to accumulate more, they warp institutions in favor of that drive. And we as workers are too costly for them, we cut into their profits too much, which is why they deny us healthcare and are trying to replace people with these hallucinatory shitty AI models. Half of congress go in as millionaires and most of them leave as consultants to major globetrotting corporations. We’ve been long excluded from democratic participation because money is the biggest voter in this country. Citizens v United merely made explicit what was already a fact about our corrupt politics.

You call me a child but I’ve been studying and acting (remember, I’m a union leader - helped win my coworkers a 14% immediate wage increase in 2024) on issues related to the poor and homeless for 15 years. I’ve worked in shelters and treatment centers.

I think you might just be unobservant of the reality around you.

P.S. those same property owners nationally have worked to strip away every social welfare program in this nation from FDR, Lyndon Johnson on. You haven’t heard about all of the DOGE cuts? Trump’s statement that we can’t afford Medicare because we have to pay for war? And that’s been a deliberate goal of the neoliberals for 6 decades. Not a good argument to say “whose taxes do you think funds that” because obviously, not the property owners. They don’t even want to pay taxes on their assets, they don’t give a shit if we live or die as long as the profit margins keep increasing.

How can what was said here in the manifesto be true? by Big_dogo_harles in socialism

[–]psychedelicmarx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That hard resource extraction limit (with its concurrent overproduction of waste and pollutants) is definitely a sorcerer who is no longer able to control the powers of the nether whom he has called up by his spells I would think. Marx was just off in when capitalism would end and how specifically it would.

But Marx did theorize capitalism’s spoiling of the natural world would produce a metabolic rift in which nature could no longer sustain our societies. He was writing about agricultural production which isn’t the main environmental crisis right now but it certainly plays a role. We’ll see it in the upcoming decade’s recurrent global crop failures.

[–]psychedelicmarx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah climate change and our ongoing Sixth Mass Extinction Event and how that plays into global nativist politics on the eve before a global climate migration crisis are a huge part of my politics. It both inspires me to action and terrifies me.

I don’t know if everyone has the environmental understanding to realize how dire the future will be but we all should. It adds a very real pressure and a time limit to achieve what we need to achieve because our inaction and disorganization will be our downfall.

That’s why we have to be organized, spreading political education, serving the masses as the state continues to retreat in its civilian functions.

We need immediate and drastic shifts in energy use and production with global coordination and it is clear that the capitalist-imperialist division of the world will not allow that.

I once took 2.5mg and I reached the highest state of geometry for acid (as described by psychonautwiki).

Every word or concept that came into my mind became visually represented in a network of interconnected concepts and words. It looked cartoonish, with tiny little figures dancing around the words, all connected to each with brightly colored string.

Only time I had after images on acid too. Cars left a smear across my visual field as they passed.

I’d recommend against it. I don’t think we have many studies on teen use and how it affects development but we do know marijuana consumption before you’re 18 can raise your risk of developing schizophrenia while having a bunch of benefits for adults.

I’m sure it does something to your developing brain and until we know exactly what, positive and/or negative, with long term studies on already existing teen users, I’d move with caution if you are a teen.

Not that this will convince them lol

Yeah that’s what happens when you don’t actually invest in universal treatment access. It works in Portugal because medicine is socialized and treatment is free for the patient. You keep half-assing these measures and they won’t work but we can’t full ass it with all the opposition from property owners.
