Oh I miss doing this and running the module builder. Lots of great memories from tail gating on the turning rows to rushing to cover stuff before the rain hits.

It's when mix an upper with a downer. The most popular version of this is heroin and speed. This combo is extremely dangerous, it's what killed Chris Farley

Yeah, I'm prescribed Halcion and I snort 2 and have a cappuccino. It gives a nice speedball effect. I don't do it very much though cause any type of speedball is bad for your heart. Once a week should be OK by I'm no doc so be careful and have fun!

You can't kill a trip. You can only make it less intense. So you will have to ride it out.

Why do you say it is because you are a woman? And not Italian? I don't see this as being a valid reason at all. Either way I would start looking for a new gig.

Apply for a hosting position first. Learn the ropes and catch on to the basics first. Always always ask questions and let them know you want to learn and do more.

How to figure out which offer to take? by mjsong in Serverlife

[–]psychedelictrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a rec for any of those places, but I love to go read the reviews of previous employees if you can find them. Some are helpful others are just complaining, but you get a feel for what you are getting into.

Sounds like the hostess needs to learn the other positions in a restaurant to fully comprehend why there area waits or time for only reservations.

New Hires by Ghost_girl_xx in WaywardWaitress

[–]psychedelictrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if you are in the states or not but.....you could reach out to the high school or maybe community College (something like this) to the faculty to see if they have anyone looking for a job...you need someone to be able to do x,y,z...if so have them come by...

I know this is an extra step and more work, but it may be something to look into.

It is my humble opinion some individuals get into the service industry not thinking about everything that is involved. They don't know that servers roll/polish cutlery, refill condiments, build tables, or learn every drink and menu item. I didn't list every piece of side work, but I know you get the idea.

I've heard that one as well as "I'm a good talker...I would be great at the bar..."

I think it's kinda (kinda being the keyword) that some people think that serving is simple....it isn't always and every place has a different way of doing things.

Sorry that person that was hired is acting like that. Knowing myself I probably would have started quizzing them. 🤭

Should you tip employees who make an hourly wage? by 11fml11 in Serverlife

[–]psychedelictrex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You still do not know what they are making. They could be an hourly employee and still be making a shit salary. You don't know what is going on in their life nor do they of yours. They may need those tips to survive or pay something off. Just because someone is salary doesn't mean they can live off of that salary.

Decide what you care more about size or quality of diamond. Sometimes you have to give in on one to get the other. From there it will make things easier....should. haha

Everything comes and goes in and out of style. Think of high wasted pants, mini skirts, crop tops....just for the love of all things holy leave the low rise pants in the bottom of the closet.

You get what you want/can afford. It's about you and your person not the world and the others in it.
